Subject: Somebody Else's Chemistry Homework
Any chemistry experts here? This would help a treat. As a musician, I feel I'm owed to be terrible at science, so, y'know.
The task is to fill in the table below:
Br- | o2- | Cl- | No3- | So4 2- | co3 2-
Ag+
Ca2+
Al3+
Any explanation would also be cool.

Four.

I see. >doesn't see<
You couldn't explain what's going on in the table, please, MNIK?
Subject: Re: Somebody Else's Chemistry Homework
Chemistry...haven't done this since the last century!
Bobo...would the idea of the table be to explain the reactions of the elements on the vertical with those on the horizontal?
I ask because reading from the top corner...
Silver (Ag) reacting with Bromine (Br) would give Silver Bromide
" " " Oxygen (O2) gives Silver Oxide...
...and so on...if I'm going totally up the wrong path, forgive me, my eyelids used to get heavy in class by this point...
Not sure if the following would be helpful...it's all about Chemical Valency...or, what happens in reactions, etc.(essential stuff if you're having trouble sleeping...!)

That sounds spot-on. I'll refer this thread to her in the morning. She can see what she makes of it herself then. Chemistry is far beyond me...
Thanks Paul, I'll pass the link on too.
Chemistry was never much of a strong point for me, as I said. The things I am best at involve sleeping and beating all other players on Countdown, not that I should mention that at all.
