Subject: braces off in four weeks!!
i went to the orthodontist today, and i'm getting my braces off NEXT MONTH! ;D i think i get the bottoms off on october 14, and then i get them all off on halloween. i'm about five months ahead of schedule too, i wasn't supposed to have them off until next year!
but here's the totally awesome part...i get my braces off the week AFTER picture day. the orthodontists seemed more upset about this than i was. ::) :D

I still remember the thrill of 'braces off' day oddX ! and that was over 20 years ago ! ;D make sure you wear the retainer for the recommended time though because I didn't and my lower teeth have moved again. :'( (The uppers are still good though.)
The only thing that I had missed and that I HAD to eat the day I got my braces off...... was a toffee apple. ! ;D

Congratulations! I loved it when I got them off because I could start eating gooey, sticky junk. Oh wait, I already did that. Ha, ha. :)
Anyways, congrats... I get them ON again pretty soon... I kinda wish my parents/orthodontist would hurry up... I want them off before senior pics come around.

Congrats to you! How long have you had your braces on? I totally know the feeling of excitement. I had my braces on for almost four and a half years. It was a thrill finally getting them taken off! I remember it feeling so weird to rub my tongue across my teeth because they felt so slimy without any hardware on them.
Unfortunately, I still have a retainer permanently bonded to my bottom row of teeth, so I'm not totally rid of braces forever yet (it was put on when I was 13 and I'm 20 now). Hopefully soon that will be taken off, although I haven't been to my orthodontist in over four years so who knows when I'll ever get that taken care of!

I had braces in 1985 when I needed them the most.sucked my thumb from 1974-1985.wore retainer after that. :P ;D

i've only had mine on for a little over a year. i got 'em in august 2002, so i didn't have braces for too long, but going from about five pieces of gum a day to none was rather unplesant.. :-X
