10 Years- How long of a time is this for you?
10 years now seems like last month in a lot of ways, when I was 10 years younger it was a lifetime.
Getting older does suck. :-/

That is so true.  It seems that the older we get the faster time seems to fly by.  When I was younger it seemed to take forever to reach those milestone ages....16, 18, 21.  Now birthdays are not as anticipated as they were before.  At least for me.

Awwww Race.  I asked this very same question as I approached the old 40 mark which was last year.  Things do start to sag and fall off, but then new insights and wisdom make it all better again.  Hang in there mate. :)

1993? I'm afraid it wasn't a great year for me. I love the present!  :D

Ten years ago I was seven years old, and very very small and insane.

Nothing's changed.

The years certainly do fly by as we get older.  If only we could all stay in our twenties.... :-/ :(

It doesn't seem like a very long time to me as I am only fourteen years of age.

ten years seems like an eternity for me.  even january seems really far off.  (but this could be because i can't wait for this semester to end.) ::)

Oh, but if we are talking about ten years into the future, then yes, that is an eternity. :) ::)

I suppose getting older is relative, isn't it? I considered myself to be a young strapping bloke until I moved into a new team at work. In a team of fifteen, I am the third oldest - and only 24!

Lebiew15, are you really 14? I don't mean to sound suspicious it's just that you sound very mature for your age.  :)

That's the best thing about whatever age we are Bobo - We only change in our mind if we allow ourselves to do so. I think I have regressed. I feel more childlike now than I have ever done.

Being insane is a precious thing. Imagine how insane Thomas Edison was thought to be when he created the light-bulb!  :D

Thanks for all the input, especially you kind Aussies  :).
It's small things that add up that makes you relize time is passing fast.  What to me is still new music plays on the classis rock stations.  I went to a funeral of a parent of one of my old friends and I relized it had been 10 years or more since we all got together.  My dad retired from the military after 20 years at the age of 37, I'm 37 and seem to finally have my career path on a straight pathway.
It's really not that sad, just kinda wierd.

I'm happier now at 33 than I ever was at 23.  23 was too raw, too uncertain, I had no idea what my purpose in life was going to be.  33 has given me confindence and stability, I know who I am now and I'm happier with that knowledge than I ever would have been at 23.

That's not to say getting older isn't scary, it is.  I don't look forward to the day I find my first wrinkle, or my first gray hair... and I'm dreading what comes with age (the loss of parents, declining health, etc.) but I guess it's just going to be taken one day at a time.

It's been like the blink of an eye.  All of a sudden two of my children are teenagers, the other two are 10 and 7  and I'm middle aged!  I've still got a lot of living to do (god willing)!

Yes, time flies by, in fact I'm turning 22 next Sunday ;D but u know what? I feel happier now than when I was 15. But the reason I'm happy is nothing but one: I feel very glad to have lived all what I've lived, to have met all the people I met n to have done in life all I have done. If Iwas to be re-born I'll do exactly the same. Because I am happy n without those experiences I wouldn't be the person I am now. And the same goes for all n every of u. Don't think about age, just remember what that age brought u, those sweet n not so sweet memories sometimes, but overall, just think "hey I'm still alive!!" . Live for the day, there's a lot of stuff out there to be done yet!!!  ;D

Well, you can still do it, it's just a little harder to fit into the tubes.  It's one of the "perks" of having children.  You have an excuse to relive your childhood by playing with them in things such as this. ;D

I have to agree with this.  10 years ago (age 22) I had no clue what my future held or even what I wanted to do.  I was working a dead end job, only a few bucks in the bank, and doing things that I look back now and wonder how I survived.  Now, I'm in a loving marriage with 3 kids, don't have to worry about money, and thinking more about others than myself.

Ten year ago, I was a bartender, no health insurance, nothing planned for the future, but then ten years ago, I didn't care about that, it was all live for the day.  I still think living in the present is the right thing to do, but there's nothing wrong with giving the future consideration too since it will eventually be your present.

9 years ago my Other and I made a deal, he wouldn't grow a beard, I would stop dying my hair (it took 4 years to grow the red out).  But I always told him the deal was off when I found my first gray hair!  One of my co-workers checks my hair every week, she can't stand it that I have no gray.  I will not go gently into that good night...
