If I had to narrow it down, my favourite band of all time would have to be The Clash. Since they're not around making new music anymore I'd say my favourite band of the current era is Coldplay, who I've only recently go into. I'm a big fan of PJ Harvey too but Polly is really a solo artist these days with a collective group of musical associates, rather than a band as such.

Of course I'm a fan of loads of other bands too, pretty much anything that could loosely be described as guitar based rock of the last 50 years really!

U2 are my favourite, then Savage Garden. Every time I hear one of their songs, I think: "Surely they can't make a song better than this one!"
And then they go and release one that really is better!

It's an aussie 80s/90s thing. They'll always be my fav.  However, anything dance from the 90's and now will make it into my CD collection
