Just to let you know,I'm going on vacation with my Mother and Father to Jenau,Alaska on The Star Princess Cruise from August 23rd-The 30th.I hope to be back probably that Saturday Afternoon,the 30th middle of the afternoon or later that evening.I read that the temperature there will be in the upper 50's-60's with mostly rain or very little sunshine so Our Family will be going from the 80's here in New York to the 50's in Alaska.We will be bringing our light jackets with us there.The time difference in Alaska will be a -4 hour difference so everything will be mostly out of whack.So,I'll still try be here until Friday.We all have to get up at 4am Saturday to catch a cab to go to the airport and travel by plane to Seattle Washington and from there a shuttle bus takes us to the boat.I hope to have loads of fun.I'm sorry that I won't be able to post here in the internet cafe they have on the boat because my Mother will be using her credit card so I'll be checking my e-mail and that's about it.It's costs her money to use up time in the cafe.So,when I come back,I'll tell you all about it.Don't worry.It's only a week.And plus,I have the Labor Day Weekend to enjoy before going back to the old grind  ;D

Howard, I was just up in Petersburg, Ak last week, it is a beautiful part of the state for sure.  Take a good camera with you but be prepared for rain.  It rains more in Juneau (SouthEast AK) than it does in Seattle.  Also, it's a beatuiful ship your going to be on, I drive past it twice a day when its in port, really big and really cool looking.  

Enjoy yourself and don't worry about anything. We'll still be here when you get back. :)

Howard you are coming to my beautiful city? NICE! Enjoy Vancouver...what little time you will actually have here...and especially enjoy your cruise..they are SO much fun...even though the Alaska ones are mostly old people LOL ;) j/k

If I didn't have to work both those Saturday's I'd try to make it down to the pier to either see you off or welcome you back to dry land!
