Subject: Is this a record for stupidity?
On my way in to work this morning, there was a guy driving to my left who was looking down at his mobile, typing in a number. As I went past, I noticed he had another mobile in the other hand...
Subject: Re: Is this a record for stupidity?
so you were looking in a car on your left instead of straight ahead at the road? :P
but yes it is stupid

You mean you spend all your time only looking ahead, never at what's left or right?

I saw an even better one yesterday. I don't know how the girl was driving, must've been with her legs...
Hamburger in one hand, cigarette in the other, cell phone being held between her neck and shoulder. Oh, and looked to be about 16 ::)
Subject: Re: Is this a record for stupidity?
Maybe they were driving with their knees.
Subject: Re: Is this a record for stupidity?
I will never figure out why it is so important to talk on your cell phone all the freaking time. >:(
Subject: Re: Is this a record for stupidity?
I've seen a guy reading a book while driving.

I once saw a woman writing on a note pad while she was driving. ::) I used to date a guy who used to read his mail as he was driving and it would drive me crazy. I would tell him that he could read it when he got home but he never listened to me (was too busy reading).

No Phil, when i'm in the car I'm normally either on the phone, changing cds, turning round to check on my son in the back of the car or reading.
But then it's hubby who drives not me.

A friend of mine ran up the back of a car while painting her fingernails! My husband and I have seen people shaving, eating a bowl of cereal, drinking mugs of coffee and brushing their teeth. A girlfriend also once confessed that she had waxed her legs while driving. She said she was about to do her bikini line but noticed that drivers of large trucks would be able to see what was going on :o This subject was covered recently on a TV breakfast show and a person Emailed to say that on his way down the Gold Coast Highway he had seen a woman place a towel round her shoulders, wet her hair with bottled water, apply shampoo, massage it in, rinse with more water and then she proceeded to style and blow dry it with an air pump that blows up air mattresses and the like!! See women can do more than one thing at a time ;D

we're all fogetting the obvious people who pick thier nose while driving! ah, JV baseball away games, on the bus, always pointing out drivers or passengers in cars doing stupid things, the nose picking was usually the main one...

I had a guy pull across in front of me when I was learning to drive whilst combing his hair and eating a piece of toast!?! You should have heard the stream of abuse my driving instructor gave him !

So there are driving instructors who teach this kind of thing...
I was driving in Germany at the weekend, and one of the things I found when I checked up on driving regulations was that making insulting gestures to other drivers is illegal - subject to a €1150 fine (or €1550 if you do it to a policeman!)
Must admit, I didn't see any insulting drivers... but I did see a lot of bad driving :-)

I've often put my makeup on in the rear vision mirror..... but only whilst stopped at red traffic lights.
One of my fave Mr Bean episodes, is the one where he's running late for the dentist and gets dressed and cleans his teeth while driving there. Complete genius.

Yeah, this kind of thing DRIVES ME CRAZY. What a bunch of dolts. I'd rather drive 150mph at Indie that deal with these morons.

when my friend's dad was driving us home once, he was dialing a phone number on a phone and reading road directions while driving. people like this are the only thing that freaks me out about driving (less than a year ;D); i don't trust 90% of the drivers on the road. :-/
