Subject: WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?

English with Clive Henderson, or American with Drew Carey?

I prefer the American myself!  It doesn't seem so....plain!  ::)

I can't stand either of them. The only thing that made me laugh when I used to watch the American version was Ryan Stiles.

What's the object of this game, anyway?  I don't get it. ???

It's just all improv (or so they say, anyway).  They do things like act out movie scenes picked from the audience, music commercial spoofs, song spoofs, draw different things to do out of a hat, etc.  Did that help?  Is that what you wanted to know?

I prefer the American version myself.

I love the show!!!  8) I've seen both the English (original) and the American versions, and I have to say I prefer the American one only because of Wayne Brady.  He is so cool!  I never get tired of watching him.  I actually think the least interesting comic is the host...Drew Carey himself.  I don't find him very funny at all.  But that's just my opinion... :-/

I never got into "Who's line is it". I like the Drew Carey show though. I catch that from time to time.

This is possibly my favorite show in the world! (American version, please)
My favorite one was either where Ryan Stiles was Carol Channing and ran his head into Drew Carey's desk, or the one where Colin Mockery played "Newsflash" in front of a screen with himself   ;D

I've only seen the English version with Clive Anderson. I really liked his dry, awkward sense of humour. I think Josie Lawrence was awful but I think the star of the show was not Ryan Stiles (who was funny) but Colin Mocherie. He looks a little like Bill Murray but talks in a cheesy game-show host voice. He should have his own show!  :D

Yeah...that sorta helped.  I was under the impression that it was a sort of game show where contestants won money,  prizes and whatnot.

I tried to watch it a few times but just couldn't get into it.

Didn't Groucho Marx or sombody long ago host a game show with a similar title?

On the American version, the improvisors are better, but the host (Drew Carey) sucks @$$. I think they should keep the show in America, but bring back Clive Anderson to be the host.

Drew is the worst improv guy ever and he has no witty commentary. Clive added some nice Brittish wit to it.

Clive Anderson's off the cuff remarks used to make me laugh, especially at the end of a round. He would say something like 'The winner of that round is . . . the one with the most points' and would continue as if he was being serious - great stuff.  :D
