Subject: What's the ONE song...
you could listen to over and over without getting sick of it? only one allowed!
Mine would be Paradise By The Dashboard Light - Meatloaf
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
I'm not sure there is one: I would have said Paradise a few years ago, except that I did (listen to it over and over again until I got sick of it...)
Possibly Baker Street, November Rain or Dream On
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
"Nautical Disaster" by The Tragically Hip

Baker Street sounds like a good choice, but... I think I would have to say... The Logical Song by Supertramp.
Can we change it tomorrow? :D

Just one, bo'? Oh well...
"God Only Knows" - Beach Boys - a thing of such infinite beauty, it's almost painful...
I've heard this song more times than I've had the proverbial hot dinner, and always seem to hear something in it I've never heard previously...incredible!
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
Dang, yes. Why not throw in the rest of Pet Sounds while we can. It was the first CD I ever bought, and I'm sure I have listened to it more than 2000 times... and now thanks to the beauty of the internet, I've discovered all sorts of things which I hadn't before about it.
Which brings me on to...
Hmm... one track...
For pure enjoyment value, most probably The Anaheim Asuza and Cocamonga Sewing Circle, Book Review and Timing Association by Jan and Dean.
Note: Opinions subject to change.
The meeting breaks up with a thunderous roar
And there's a mad mad rush for the big oak door...

The little old ladies wait in wild anticipation
For the meetings of the double-A, C, A-S-S-N
Lyrics not so much off-the-wall, as on-the-ceiling! Marvellous!

Come to think of it, Day Trip to Blackpool and Bastity Chelt would probably be close seconds (though Funky Moped definitely doesn't come close :-))

Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
Hmm! Yes I know Funky Moped by Jasper Carrott. My dad had it on vinyl - I guess it was alright.
The song that I could listen to over and over again? Erm . . . Probably 'And we danced' by The Hooters.
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
I'll pick the melodic tune of Simon LeBon of Duran Duran - "Grey Lady Of The Sea"
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
So I'm not the only person in the world that's heard of that song... ah, me and the band used to have a ball with that one... that and Schlock Rod parts 1 and 2. Perfect for a mad-up...

Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...

i can see i've got some downloading to do
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
Hard for me to decide between an oldie (I Saw The Light- Todd Rundgren) and a newie, sort of, for me anyway, (Ordinary World - Duran Duran) :)
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
I'm a horror for listening to certain songs over and over for years on end! My family hates me.
I would say the whole Cat Stevens Teaser and the Firecat album..... but I can't pick just one off it.....
So I'll go with "Sit Down" by James.
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
That new Linkin Park song "Faint." I'm actually not that fond of their music but that song is a song I could listen to forever.
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
Lately, it's been "I Get Around" by the Beach Boys. :) :D
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
:D :D :D 8) 8)There's actually more than one,but I'll say "Ebony Eyes" by the Everly brothers.Cheers! 8) 8) ;)
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
Picture of You - The Cure
Hold Me Now - Thompson Twins
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
I haven't heard Picture Of You for ages.
Prefer Sister Of Mercy but they're both good songs
I've loved Ebony Eyes for years, always makes me cry without fail.
Subject: Re: What's the ONE song...
Depends on my mood and what day and everything, but threse days I like listening to "Dancing in the moonlight" by King Harvest. Talk about a great song! It's one of my favs now ;D
