Subject: The "Praise Jesus" discount...
Did anyone hear the story about "Prime Time" Deon Sanders and his Jesus discount? He took his car to a repair shop and got a bill for $5000. He claims Jesus gave him a vision that he should only pay the mechanic $1500. Now he is being sued. What is wrong with Deon?
BTW, for those of you who do not know who Deon Sanders is, he was one of the best football corners in the game. He also played baseball with the Reds. He now works for CBS Sports doing commentary.

Did he ever hear of mechanic's lien laws?

If I was the mechanic I would not have given him his car back until he paid the bill in full. I would have told Deon, that is my vision from god. ;) ;D

This is stupid beyond belief. If you don't pay the price, you don't get your car back. I would have taken the wheels off and locked it up in the workshop until he coughed up the cash. On the other hand, what sort of work needed to be done that cost $5000? In Australian dollars, that's about $8000. I bought my car for less than that.

Deon made millions of dollars playing football. From what I was reading, the car was a classic from the 50's or 60's. Plus, I bet if he is a car collector he would not take it to a gas station to be fixed, but probably to some expensive expert.
You are right, I would have taken the wheels off the car and locked it up.
