Subject: Cans Or Bottles?
I was just wondering what everyone's preference was when it comes to drinking pop. Would you say that you like cans or bottles better?
I like cans because it tastes crisper, with more flavor and carbonation. That's my opinion though. 20 ounce bottles are my second choice--they're alright. I don't like to drink pop from one-liter or two-liter bottles because it goes flat right away (most people don't drink a 2-liter all at once). And although a can of pop goes flat right away too, they are more often drunk all at once.
Oh, and what about Gatorade? I tried Gatorade in a can today and thought it tasted pretty nasty. I stick to the bottles on that one.

I too like pop from a can better. But I can't stand beer from a can, I like it better from a bottle.

Methinks "soda" from a plastic bottle is okay :) I don't really taste the diff between can and bottle. But beer is definitely better from the bottle.

i like soda from a can better than a bottle. we buy the two liter bottles, so i'm pretty used to semi-flat soda, which causes the nice fresh aluminum-ish taste to the soda special. :)
edited for fragment.

I like either cans or bottles for sodas. I don't see bottles as often as I see cans here in the U.S. Interestingly, I find just the opposite in foreign countries... :-/

I too like "soda" from a can. But when it comes to beer. Beer from a can tastes too tinny and so a stubbie (Bottle) is a preference anyday.... ;D

I can tell the difference ! Soda Soft Drink ( ;D) tastes much better from a bottle - I can taste the tinniness from cans every time. :(
And as for plastic bottles over glass, plastic loses it's coolness a LOT more quickly....
FB :)

I agree with Fussy !
I will add that soft drink tends to lose its fizziness a lot quicker in plastic once it's been opened. :P

Bottles all the way.

I prefer glass bottles, especially the Coca-Cola ones. 8)
I'll drink from a plastic bottle or a can if I must, but don't enjoy it as much.

I remember when Pepsi came in glass bottles, in packs of 8. That was the best. I do not think anything comes close to the taste of it in the bottle. No to mention, when I took the bottles back to the pharmacy across the street, I would have enough money to get a pack of baseball cards. That was the good life...

Unfortunately I'm too young to remember glass bottles. :-/ :-[

I don't care between cans and bottles, however plastic bottles are convenient because you can recycle them.

You can recycle glass and cans too.

Indeed. It's easier to recycle cans and glass bottles too. For mine, nothing beats a cold drink in a glass bottle. I actively seek out places that still sell Coke in glass bottles. They are few and far between, but they are there. Cans are ok as an alternative. Plastic bottles are ordinary: get warm too quick, go flat too quick, tastes funny.
