Subject: Call me stupid...
...but I have once again lost all of my marbles and agreed to a sleepover party.
This time for my son. His 6th b-day is Thursday and the poor kid has never wanted a party before now. So, of course, after I swear off having anymore slumber parties, he wants one. ::)
So think of me fondly on Saturday night, when 10 little boys are tearing my house apart.

I just have to say, better you than me. Good luck. Hopefully you will still be around next week to let us know how you survived.

Well, we had one for my son a few weeks ago. Only a total of 5 kids + my 3 and it was so much fun. Be prepared for little sleep. The kids at ours went to bed around 12:45 and were up at 7:30!!
Have fun!

My god woman are you mad??!! ;D
I hope you all have a great time !

10 little boys? Plus your own, making it 11?
You do have backup, right? Three or four security guards? Tranquilizer darts? The phone number for the S.W.A.T. team?
j/k
Good luck. Make sure you have a way to get in touch with each boy's parents...in case one of them decides he is too homesick to stay all night. That happened with one of my daughter's friends.

After having 15 little girls in January for my daughter's 7th b-day sleepover party, I'm fairly confident I can handle the boys :-/
I hope I can anyway!
Not exactly how I pictured spending my Saturday night this year but that's ok, it's all about the kids!

I'm sure you will survive this one, but just wait till your kids are, say, 14, 15, 16, and ask for CO-ED slumber parties - or worse, for their boy - girl friends to spend the night. THAT's when you lose sleep :o In the mean time, have fun while they are young ;D
Subject: Re: Call me stupid...
at least one boy will probably wake up with peanut butter smeared all over his face...that what my brother's done to his friends.
oh, and keep toothpicks away from them too. (sounds stupid, but some kid at a party my brother went to stepped on a toothpick and had to have it removed in the ER! :o afterwards, he went back to the party, of course...)
of course, they're six and probably have more common sense than a bunch of twelve year olds hyped up on pixi stix. good luck, though. :)

Aren't children's parties just a way of reminding you that yours aren't the worst behaved children on the block?
My son's eighth is coming up, and we're doing a sleepover for eight in a tent in the back garden (we've got a BIG tent)... I'm quite looking forward to it ;-)

What a fantastic way of looking at it Phil! I never thought of it that way. Good point.
Have fun out in the tent!
