Subject: Sweet or Salty?
Oh PLEASE people...get your minds out of the gutter! ::)
When it comes to snack food, do you prefer sweets...like candy, donuts and ice cream....or do you like salty stuff like popcorn, chips and snack mix?
I prefer salty....I am a Chex Mix-aholic ;D
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
Depends on my mood ;)
I don't like chocolate as much as I should, it leaves a burning sensation in the back of my throat :-/ But I do love chocolate chip cookies, in the presence of copious amounts of milk.
I love Pringles :D
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
It depends. Sometimes I prefer chips and sometimes I prefer sweet stuff, like chocolate, cookies, or donuts…
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I'm addicted to gummi bears.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
Sweet: doughnuts,chocolate,Doritos,ice cream,M & M's, and cookies. :D
Salty: nuts & pretzels :D
(some Doritos chips are spicey)
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I go for the salt and fat based junk food. Doritos, BBQ potato chips, nuts, etc. I'm not big on chockolate by itself, my favorite candy bar is the Pay Day, m'mm. I do like M&M w/ peanuts too.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I'm addicted to my big ol' bowl of "Honey Bunches of Oats" in the morning (like you didn't know that, SS ::)) and my big ol' bag of microwave "Orville Redenbacher Theater Butter" popcorn at night, so, you tell me. :-/
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I go back & forth but predominantly sweet.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?

Ha ! How did you know before I even got to read your post SS ? ;D
If I had to choose it would be sweet ! :)
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
Sweet mostly. Chocolate's my fave.
Salty for balance. Andy Capp's Salsa Fries, David's Pumpkin Seeds. (Not your typical snacks, huh? ;))
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
Salty!
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
If I absolutely had to choose between the two, I would have to say the salty stuff.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
BOTH!!! As long as it's not good for me, but tastes good ;)
I would have to say that one of my favs is Beer Nuts.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I like chocolate covered pretzels, so I guess I woud say BOTH!

YUM!
The best I ever had were Sarris' Chocolate Covered Pretzels, frpm Sarris PA. Highly recommended. :)
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
It depends on my mood. I'd say salty if I had to choose. But cookies and milk at night are good too. ;D
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
Both. For salty, peanuts or chex mix yum Pringles too -
For sweet, I love jelly bellies and gummy bears
Chocolate is my depression food. Hershey milk chocolate.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I too will have to say both as it depends on what mood i'm in..................
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
Generally, if I have something sweet, I have to balance it with something salty. So, if I eat a candy bar, I will then eat a handful of popcorn or pretzels to balance the sweet. or Visa Versa.
So, I guess both!!
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
When I do eat snacks, I prefer salty, like baked Doritos (yes, they do exist ;D) or chex mix. Something like that.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
because i have braces, my mouth tends to get cut up from the lovely brackets and wires which i so love. ::cough:: ;) the salt in salty food definitely does not ease my pain. ;D
so i guess i'd have to say sweet. with the exception of "gummy" foods, because they're nasty, in my opinion. anything from hershey's is good, especially their milkshakes. :D (not the ones they sell that the supermarkets, the shakes they serve at the foodcourts in hershey park.)
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
If I had to choose I would say Salty...but there are times that I just have to have my chocolate. ;D

How did you know that's where my mind has been for the last few days? ? :o ;D
Keeping it clean.....
I'd have to say I stay mostly with the sweets. Coffee ice cream by itself, vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, soft-baked chocolate chip cookies, M&M's, coffee rolls, Munchkins (or donut holes for those of you who don't have a Dunkin' Donuts shop in your area), and just about anything else made of chocolate will satisfy my snack cravings.
Though for variety, I also like popcorn with lots of butter, or tortilla chips with mild salsa and sour cream. And the new blue potato chips are very good.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
Has anyone had salty black licorice? I think it's from Ireland or somewhere. It's not sweet at all and it very very chewy. I had it once and didn't like it much, but I've never seen it sold before or since.

Have you been reading my mind? These are all of my favorites, though I would have to substitute medium for mild salsa ;) What is your favorite Munchkin? Mine are the choc glazed ones---yummy. Try Entemann's pop-ems. They are really close to them. ;D
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I perfer my big ol' salt lick hubby keeps for me in the backyard. ::)
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I'm a salt lover I admit it. But I do like my sweets now and then. I'm addicted to popcorn. I can't even smell it and I must have some....and I can't watch hockey without munching on salt & pepper potato chips......mmmmmmmmmm
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I prefer sweet. But sweet as in that pineapple and rice dish (yum!) or chocolate...not all those nasty nasty nasty Wonka creations :-X :P.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
Hmmm, I like both sweet and salty. There are times I mix ice cream and corn chips, and it tastes really good too! Course, I only do that with vanilla ice cream. I've never tried with any other flavor.
Subject: Re: Sweet or Salty?
I think that I prefer the salty, starchy stuff myself.. Although once in awhile I do want some nice icecream or chocolate.
