Subject: A full dance card for job interviews!
Some of you know that I was laid off from my job last July, and have been desparately seeking work since then.
I have had a difficult time even getting potential employers to even look at my resume, never mind getting an interview.
Then last week, I posted my resume on the MonsterBoard.
www.monster.com
My phone will not stop ringing, and I have not had a second to sit down and think. I've been to two interviews already, I have two scheduled for tomorrow, and I'm playing "telephone tag" with two other placement agencies, and one actual employer.
I know all this doesn't guarantee I will be working soon, but the more interviews I manage to get....well, the law of averages should turn up in my favor at some point. I would suggest for anyone looking for work, this is a good place to get some kind of a response. (Psst...Chucky...this means you too! :))

Good luck to you XenaKat! I have friends that have had awesome luck with Monster.com. Just make sure you weed through all the scams on there that say "Work at Home"....cuz they are just that...SCAMS! :D

Yay! :D You'll be swimming in ice cubes soon! (That's "money" in Penguinese) 8)

Way to go, Kat! :D

Way to go, Kat! If you're anywhere near as impressive in real life as you are on this board, you'll be flooded with job offers after the interviews. :D

Super-Cool XenaKat! :D
I hire a lot of people and the best (and dissapointing) thing to impress a interviewer is to research the company befor you meet with them. I've been amazed how many people coming to an interview for even the mid-management positions don't do their homework.
Be sure to practice up before interview time and always keep eye contact.
Good Luck! :)

I dunno...Monster always seemed to feature more white collar and executive-type positions than I cared for (admittedly, I haven't browsed Monster in quite some time) and not the labor/manufacturing/distribution positions I was hunting for. I've had great success with America's Job Bank.
