They told me I had to write a speech! :o So here 'tis....

Wowie! I just want to say that I appreciate all of those who thought enough of me to vote for me -- I never would have imagined it (and heh, heh, neither would my old high school class ::) ). I suspected I might get a vote or two, but this was just overwhelming! Mind you, I really believe that if Banasy or Langdon or Goldie or SS had been on the board more regularly the past few months, any one of them could have easily beaten me in the popularity department. But that said, I am still pleased and touched and I am sitting here basking in it! :D

I have been here a year now this month. When I found this board, it was intriguing and I figured I would post and chat a bit about music and such. That was all. I never in my wildest dreams imagined the special friendships that I now have as a result of that split-second decision to register. I truly love everyone on this board, and I have been especially blessed with several close friendships that I know will last a lifetime. I have savored the opportunities I have had to speak to some of you on the phone and finally to even meet a few of you (with more meetings planned!) I can't even begin to imagine my life without you all. Just thanks to each and every one of you here, just simply for 'being you' and for being part of my life! :D :D :D

And now -- Is there an all expense paid trip for 2 to the Bahamas in this for me and "most popular male?" ;) ;D

"I'm So Excited" - Pointer Sisters

Thank you very much for this accolade.  I have a great time here.  This was the first board I ever went to.  I have gone to others since but the don't hold a candle to this place.

I have made a lot of friends here, including some very special ones.  I would like to congratulate the other winners, nominees and just as importantly, every board member that comes here and makes it the special place that it is.  

To any given individual, this board may or may not be anything special.  To me it is something very special.  I have friends here and lots of laughs.  I thank you all.

I would further like to thank Chuck and Hairspray - it is because of the heavy workload that they choose to place on themselves that the rest of us find it such and fun and stable place to be.  ;)

And to think, I only came here by accident whilst looking for MP3's !  :D
