Everybody is Irish on St. Patrick's Day. (Even though there is no Irish blood in this body) Yes, I am wearing green and I have a pin that has a shamrock that is orange and white. Green for the Irish Catholics, Orange for the Irish Protastants and white for the peace between the two. Hopefully there is/will be peace.

My dad always wore orange on St. Patty's day. He was raised Catholic though. He did it as a joke. Always going against the grain, that crazy old fart. ::)

Well, the kids are wearing green, but since I haven't gotten dressed or anything yet today, I'm not. Oh wait, I have emeralds in my wedding band and earrings, so I guess I am. ;D
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!
oh, and happy bday to my friend Patty. She was going to be named Sarah, until she was born.
Subject: Re: KISS ME! I'm not Irish!
Yep!! Green undies, green socks, green pants and I even have some green on my fingernails from helping the kids put green goo in their hair this morning. :)
I know this is so cliche but I even started my corned beef and cabbage in the crock pot for tonight. Yum!!

"May the curse of Mary Malone and her nine blind illegitimate children chase you so far over the hills of damnation that the Lord himself can't find you with a telescope."
Just kidding of course. ;)

I was soo buzzed on cold medications yesterday that I didn't get to read this thread. :-/ Oh, well.
I am 2/3 Irish. I think that during the first and second waves of Irish immigration in the last century, 90% of the Irish settled in Boston and New York. There are still neighborhoods around here where you can say "everyone there is Irish", and you'd be right.
But on St. Patrick's Day, everyone is an honorary Irishman! ;D Just because it's fun!

Ummm. I'm really bad at math. (And yet I'm an accountant. Go figure. Just don't trust me with your taxes. ;) )
All I know, is that 1/2 is too small of a number, but 3/4 is too big. 2/3 seems to be a nice, easy, don't-need-to-think-about-it-much number that falls inbetween.
