...and that is why we have fire drills at school!  :o :D

it sounds disasterous, but it really wasn't that bad.

we were just sitting there in geometry, going over triangles, when the fire alarm went off.  at first everyone was thinking, "great, a fire drill, with two feet of snow outside!"  except, we then realized that even though our school system is ridiculously stupid, they don't have fire drills during lunch.  (i have geometry during the lunch1 and lunch2.)

we stood outside and watched some kids throw snowballs at each other (and they all got detention, which was equally entertaining), when this cop car drives up to the school.  that's actually pretty weird, considering we have a cop whose job is to stay at the school all day.  ???

at this point, we've all been standing outside for about twenty minutes, when FINALLY, a fire engine drives up.  still, nothing happens for a really long time, and finally around 11:40, we were allowed back into the school.

we were outside for forty minutes.  this means that everyone in lunch1 completely missed their lunch hour.

you would think that with all this excitement (or lack of excitement; we got pretty bored outside, which turned into insanity, which lead to several strange conversations) that something really, really major happened in the school.  so, because the school loves us and is concerned about our well being, none of the teachers will tell us what happened that led to us freezing out a$$es off outside.  (however, because news spreads quickly, we know that something got set on fire in the woodshop lab...it was either a: wood or b: a smoke alarm.)

anyway...that was my interesting day.  but the BEST part is that we had a two hour delay today, meaning we basically missed half a day of school.  on top of that, tuesday and wednesday were snow days.  this means at if nothing else happens, we'll only have 1.5 days of school this week.  ::)
