Subject: Vacation Plans

This is kinda cool, my company does a lot of travle and we have a service we regulary use.  The rep stopped in today and said British Airways has cheap tickets from any major airport in US to London.  I booked wife Autumn and I for two weeks next November for $586 two round trips.  We're going to hit London, Scotland, Ireland, and Paris.  They have $49 bucks each way for flights from London to other Europeon destinations.  This is cool, any suggestions from you worldly folks?

Switzerland!  No trip to Europe is complete if you don't go to Switzerland :)  Absolutely beautiful.

You've already got too much to do in two weeks!  :)

However, I recommend Rome because there's lots of stuff in a reasonably small area - good for the time-challenged.

Thanks for the input and good wishes.  You know what's cool about this too?  It's non-stop Seattle to London, no horrible layovers!
We've got 9 months to wait but that gives us good time to plan. :D
Maybe Australia next year Fuss!

I'll see if I can meet you while you're over here in England!

Cool Bobo!  What is a good central area to book a hotel in?  I've spent the last hour trying to find a reasonable place but I have no idea the layout in London.  Your input would be great. :)
Wife Autumn says we'll take you to dinner. :D

Race-

When in Scotland, go to Edinburgh.  It's a great city and the Scottish are some of the coolest people I've ever met in my life.

You could try Amsterdam
(Not just for the vices, it's a really nice city)

If you go to Rome, watch out for the gypsies.  They're terrible there.  I would have to recommend Amsterdam, too.  It's a beautiful city.  You have to go to the Red Light district, too.  It's something like nothing you have ever seen before. ;)  I also wouldn't bother with the boat trips down the Seine in Paris.  Walking down it is much more enjoyable, and romantic at nighthttp://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Kissonlips.gif

I would love to go back to Europe. I spent a lot of time in Greece. It was really interesting. But I did get a chance to do a little traveling. I fell in love with Germany. There were many places that I didn't get a chance to go which I wanted to like Norway, the British Isles (all countries), and Switzerland.

My family was on holiday in London in 1999. The area near Bloomsbury (the Eastern part of town, not counting "The City") is full of reasonable value Bed-and-Breakfast places, and other small hotels. There is also the ginormous edifice of a hotel called The National, but it looks a bit blah.

The district is within walking distance of Leicester Square and the West End, and is on the tube line from Heathrow.

Take a look at www.smoothhound.co.uk and see what you can find...

Hey Race. My dad says Newcastle's the safest bet, but as some will tell you, it's full of Geordies (you try understanding their accents without having to double take...) Alternatively, come to Shrewsbury (we've got a good one here) and you can meet me!
