Subject: Favorite Football based movie
Ok, so 'tis the season and all. What is your fav movie based on football theme? This might be kind of limited but we can certainly see which is most popular... :D
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
Hmmm...I did enjoy the Waterboy, strange as it sounds :)
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
I thought The Replacements was pretty good. But Remember The Titans just kicked butt!
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
Grr...fighting a shotty internet connection right now...not going to bother to log in this time as will be booted off soon :( but I definitely vote for Titans as drama and Replacements for comedy. ;D

Wildcats! Did Goldie Hawn ever have a better role in a movie?
cool soundtrack too
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
Rudy
The Replacements
The Waterboy
and there's one from the 70's with Burt Reynolds about a prison football team...anyone remember the name?
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
I think the best football movie was "The Program" with James Caan. I only wonder how many Vladimir's are out there in college sports. For some reason, Romanowski of the Raiders reminds me of that character. Dunno why, but he does.

the Longest Yard!! GREAT movie!! Bernadette Peters was in it as well as Richard Keil....that would be my pick for fave football movie...although I did enjoy Fairuza's character in The Waterboy ;)

Thanx Jonman - I was thinking The Longest Mile but knew it wasn't right and I was brainfarting and didn't even think Yard.
Thought of another one: Paper Lion with Alan Alda
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
I really liked "Remember the Titans"
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
How about "Semi-Tough"? As I recall, I laughed a lot when I saw that one.
That, and the football game from "M*A*S*H", although the movie itself doesn't exactly qualify as a football-themed movie.
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
I guess I'm old school but I'm partial to "North Dallas Fourty". (Although "Remember The Titans" kicked a$$)
Subject: Re: Favorite Football based movie
Since someone already mentioned "Wildcats," how about "The Best of Times" with Kurt Russell and Robin Williams?
