Emotions often held back,
a choice i never make,
for the presence of simple fears,
and a heart so easy to break,
time has brought me wisdom,
at the same time its brought me pain,
time has brought so much change,
but my heart just stays the same,
the simple life is nothing,
for whats life without its trials,
whats life without its truth,
what life without denial,
Time is moving fast,
yet alone im standing still,
for no one knows the fullness,
of just what my heart truly feels,
not even the one,
at who my affections are aimed,
im simply full of fear,
some confuse it for shame,
shame for hurtful tempers,
from which the tears were spawned,
but just as the evening comes,
there always is a dawn,
so this is my conclusion,
of which ive put much thought,
love is simply chosen,
chosen with a cost.
