What y'all get for Xmas?
I got nothing...I'm going to buy myself my own presents, and this year I think it'll be a new baseball glove and a few baseballs. But I'm spending "Kwanzaa" (i.e. 12/26-1/1) with my friends in Vegas so that's the best gift of all.
I don't really celebrate "Kwanzaa", I just use it to describe a period of time ;)
So, come on, what y'all get? :D

I got a lot of little things from friends and family. But My husband and I decided not to buy for each other because we just got back from Vegas. Darn, Slot machines :'( ate all my presents. Pehaps we should have gone after Chrismas.

I got "Ham and Water Product... Up to 32% may be a solution of water and flavorings" from dad. Cheap basturd could not fork out a few extra $$ to buy something good. I also got home made cookies from a neighbor and a few DVD's from friends.
I think I am gonna start celebraiting Festivus instead next year. ;) Serenity now! ;D

I got to draw 17 pictures with my 7-year-old niece...
We were using her Barbie crayon and marker set. This is how we did it: I'd usually start by drawing a circle, or a curved line or something. Then Anna would draw something... two eyes in the circle, maybe... or rays radiating off it. Then I would draw something, etc. We didn't talk, of course. The game was figuring out what the other guy was drawing and add to it. Our first picture was of a creature with a giant glass brain with two eyes underneath the brain and another face with smiling eyes beneath his arms.
It was fun.

I got an i850s photo printer (yea! I can print my own photos now!) and lots of photo paper. I got candles, clothes, wine charms, a beautiful, antique decanter with a crome top and a colbot glass base, UV and polar filters for my camera, two great silver necklaces (one with a matching bracelet and the other with matching earrings) way too many cat ornaments, two cat calendars, and some gift certificates, and bath stuff, and lots of other stuff (both my family and his family go overboard!).
But best of all, despite really bad weather in the morning, we still all managed to get together (I think my sister even threatened to leave her husband if he didn't drive her to our parents house, but I don't think she was serious... I think...)

We got about 7 inches of snow...a very white and cold Christmas. So 7 inches of snow + four rowdy children= about 3 loads of laundry (coats, socks, pants, mittens, hats...etc) ;D

Like HolyDooley, we (my family) had promised not to get gifts, except for the kids, but you know how that went. ::) I got a "Catch-a-Call" for my 'puter (gotta subscribe to call waiting for it to work though), a "George Foreman Grill" (really helpful if your watching what you eat but love fried foods like me), money, clothes, etc. ......But my bestest gift is yet to come. ;)

I now own all of the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CDs, I also got some art stuff (because I like to draw), some other CDs, a lot of clothes, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (sure beats the one I taped off of TV), some books, and a pack of Extra Polar Ice gum.

My older brother had to drive from Boston to Rhode Island to be with his in-laws, so we haven't done the actual exchange yet.
He and my mom still insist on the element of "suprise" so I have no idea what I'm getting from them. They will be here tomorrow though.
My younger brother doesn't like to play head games. He's paying to have a foreign video I've wanted forever (and just bought for myself off Ebay) converted to the American format so I can actually watch it. He's also presenting me with a multiple-CD carrier (so I can fit more than one CD in my purse while I'm out), and video copies of some shows I want, but don't want to wait for "official" release dates. It pays to have "connections".
