Subject: FB's follow-up diagnosis (Hooray)

6 November 2002 (Well it is here you know !)
I told you below that I had to await the results of further investigation of the Biopsy.
The Hospital told me today that the follow up biopsy revealed the lump was nothing more than fatty tissue.
That is a huge relief ! I took off the dressing yesterday and the scar is VERY neat - they did a good job.
So all I am left with is the soreness and bruising - they said that make take a few weeks to go away - but if that's the worst I have to put up with then that is fine huh ?
Once again I would like to thank everyone here who has wished me well and/or prayed and/or sent me PM's of support - it was appreciated.

As you can all see, I have returned. :D
I wanted to say how sincerely touched I was by all of the kind and generous comments in the prayer thread - Zella had it spot on as it turned out, as I went into the operating theatre at 5.04 US Pacific Time....
From the point of view of the operation, I am sorry to say that I am not necessarily out of the woods yet. The operation involved taking a biopsy, which in the less than comforting words of the Doctor, they 'weren't entirely happy with'.... ::)
So that means that they may well ring me up soon and say they have to take out some more of me. I am not looking forward to that let me tell you. One day in a hospital is one day too much for my liking...... :(
Nonetheless I can only try to be positive about it. If there is anything more that comes of this I will let you all know.
In the meantime I would once again say that I really was overwhelmed by your sentiments. :) :) :)

Xena, thank you for giving me a huge laugh when I came back and read the comments (even though laughing hurts like hell) - it was worth it. ;D

Hey Fussy, we really missed you here.(but you knew that allready didn't you) I don't say "my prayers are with you" and take it lightly, so be assured they are. And what you said about being positive is more true than you'd ever imagine. I went through a life changing incident in '97 and I speak from first hand experience. Anyway, you're too onery (sp?) to let a little illness get you down. :D Good to have ya' back man!!

That is wonderful news! I am so glad that it was a negative biopsy and things are gonna be ok!! I bet the scar is a little price to pay for your peace of mind!!!
