not that my other logos are obnoxious (if Sleeveswipe was still able to check the board out from work, he'd kill me if I even indirectly implied that)..

since I am taking a design course, it might be fun for me to try and make a logo this time, instead of relying on my friends to do it for me.. so if anyone has any design ideas, post them..

where the messageboard is sorta related to all the decades, I guess calendar type ideas come to mind first.. anyone got any other concepts I should look at?

If you could think of some way to illustrate how the net has bypassed the telephone, newspaper, the regular mail, etc. when it comes to communication, that would be cool, but I'm at a loss as to how. Let me bounce this off my brother (he's in to marketing).

Well... for whatever it's worth, since this is the "decades" messageboard, I thought of iconic figures of the different decades.

For instance -- the fifties would be a James Dean type-- jeans, white t-shirt, pompadour, white socks peeking out under the pants cuffs.  Sixties would be... hmmm... a figure in a mandala, long hair, vibe waves, dark granny glasses, the peace symbol?  Seventies... Watergate, bicenteniel, bugging out of Vietnam, a bad hangover from the sixties.  Eigthies... big hair,  Madonna/Cyndi Lauper, razor ear ring.  Nineties... chrome domes, tattoos, computer communication...

If you wanted media images from the decades... 50s James Dean, 60s Easy Rider, 70s Rocky, 80s Madonna, 90s Simpsons.
