Whenever I'm walking to my workshop every day,I kinda take notice at what kind of watches people wear.I think now,the Liquid Quartz watches are being faded out so slowly,But now,I see a lot of guys(mostly)wearing the $500-$1,000 watches. It's probably the guys who work in those really big buildings that pay a ton of money. Some of em' are Timex,Patek Phillipe,Casio,Geneva,gold,swiss,silver,etc....You can also get a watch(If you work in the city)from those bootleggers who just stand there with maybe $5 or $10 watches for sale.some are pretty workable.I bought a Geneva for $10(in a Jewelery store)and the way it looks,it could go for at least $100.00 or maybe even $150.00(the most). My Father works in Tourneau and you can get watch for $10,000(If you have that kind of money)He's been working for Tourneau for I think at least 13 years or less. So,just remember, always try to trust your instincts with a bootlegger! -howard- ;D

I have a $10.99 watch my parents got for me for Christmas about four-five years ago.  The band broke two years ago, so I just carry the little circle watch part around in my pocket.  People laugh, but hey, it still works, so why get a new one?  I have gone for so long without wearing one on my wrist I couldn't stand to have a new one on my wrist anyway.

I lose watches too easily to have an expensive one, so I just have a cheapy.  I also have a (inexpensive) little keychain watche shaped like a robot that I keep attached to the zipper on my purse.

I haven't worn a watch since my Pacers watch broke its wind button, then stopped working altogether. I say, if it's not Swiss, it's a piece of junk. The Swiss are still the definitive watch makers.

The most expensive watch i have ever bought was a fosil watch that was $85,  It is long gone.  I don't even own one now, when I get another $20 is my limit.

I have a gold-plated fob watch. It was an anniversary present from my now ex-. It's the only watch I have and I take it everywhere.

I've got a 13-year-old big red digital watch which, among other things, I carry around in my pocket for good luck.

I don't own one !  At times during my life I have had one, but these days they are hardly a necessity - you can find the time virtually anyway (except of course if you are in shops anywhere).

Gee, I wonder why they never have the time displayed  ::)

A watch is made to tell time. Anything other than being used for its intended purpose like style, price, etc. seems like a "status symbol" "look what I can       afford" type thing to me. I've owned a $500.00 Bulova and a $19.99 Timex and when I look at them they both told me the same thing.

I haven't bought a watch since 1989...I bought a Swatch for $40 or something (It came with a free t-shirt).  I wore it (and went through several bands for it) until 1996.  My friend bought me a Peugeot (I don't know how much he paid for it) and I've worn it ever since...replaced the face cover once and get the battery replaced every two years...

I have 2 watches...both were gifts...one is a hologram watch that shows holograms of music notes and a huge treble clef that I got as a gift from my friend Shelley on the 1st anniversary of my quitting smoking (it's been 7 years now!)...I wear it most of all...I don't think it was expensive either as I've seen similar ones for around $50...the other one is a Snoopy watch I got for Christmas from my parents 5 years ago and I wear it when I'm dressing up. It was also around $50 I think.

I have a silver (with a square pearl blue face) Fossil that I think I have worn maybe a dozen times.  It was given to me as a gift..so I have no idea how much it cost.  I have gotten out of the habit of wearing one...so it just sits on my desk most days

I love watches.  If I could afford it I would buy one of every style.  Unfortunately, I can only afford five.  Two Gucci's (I have had these for many years), an Anne Klien I, an Anne Klien II and a Seiko watch.  I always need to know what time it is....not that I have anywhere special to go (or do).

I just had to buy a new watch, a Timex, nothing fancy.  But, it does have eeyore on it!  ;D
That reminds me of a quick story, if I may digress a tad..about 6 years ago, hubby got home from cruise right before Christmas.  He asked what I wanted for Christmas, and I told him I wanted an Eeyore watch.  (Now, at that time, they were a little more difficult to find.)  But, he trucked off to the mall in search of one anyway.  No luck anywhere.  He finally found a place that he was told carried them.  But when he went up to the counter, the clerk told him, pointing, "That lady just bought the last one".  Now my dear hubby confronted this lady, told her his story, and offered her extra money to buy it off of her!  Needless to say, she did it!  So it was a very sentimental watch to me..and as a I recall, he let my then 3 year old son help wrap it, and Cody, not understanding "secrets" yet, ran back to my room and whispered, "Momma--daddy got you a present..it's Eeyore and it's a clock!!"  LOL!  So much for surprises!!
