Avatars and animations are such a big thing on this board, I thought it would be interesting to know what everyone uses for a wallpaper and/or screensaver?

A night shot of New York City, pre 9/11. It is from Webshots.com and it is called "we shall never forget". It is a beautiful pic and I would have picked it even if that day hadn't happened.

I have a photograph of my sister and me standing in San Marco Square, Venice, Italy. One of my favorite pictures! :)

Before I moved house I had my own PC. My wallpaper was a picture of me holding an Eagle owl, and my screensaver was A boring scroling message> "Iyay illway uleray ethay orldway" and if you cant translate that you'll just have to wonder!!! ;)

Don't have a screen saver on either of my computer since they tend to be memory hogs. Currently, at work, I have screen shot from the reproduction of Ultima V using the Dungeon Seige engine. Before that I had a picture of Guybrush Threepwood (of Monkey Island fame) on Tatoonie with his shadow in the form of a monkey (ala the Phantom Menace movie poster). I used to have that on my desktop at home, but currently it's blank.

My wallpaper is a drawing of Totoro done by Hayao MIYAZAKI for an interviewer about three years ago. No screensaver, although I want to make a Rex The Runt screensaver, except for the lack of time and skill...

Usually it's the boring stock "clouds" wallpaper or a picture from Moon Valley Software that includes a pool table, a jukebox, and a dartboard . (It came standard with my old computer.) I used to have a picture of Dale Earnhardt's car #3 leading the pack at Daytona that I used as wallpaper during NASCAR season, but when he died, I no longer felt the need for using this wallpaper. I use no screen saver.

At the moment, a picture of Johnny Vegas and the ITV Digital munkhaaaaaaaay. I can switch to the clouds at any time I wish, but I doubt I shall be doing.

There's a picture of a proxy GTO (I think that's the name of the car) that my fiance found while surfing the net. That's about to change, though. ;) My screensaver is that dumb flying windows screensaver.

At work, just a boring blue background. I don't monkey with it.

At home I have the "Travel" desktop theme. Picture of a train station, with accompanying soundbites. I just discovered this file on my PC last week; have had the darn thing for 3 years... ::)

I have two computers @ work one has a Sandra Bullock wallpaper with a Betty Boop screensaver and the other has a Houston Texans wallpaer with a My Corkboard screensaver.

Tha wallpaper at home usually changes about every week but it has had a Houston Texans wallpaper since football season started and an American Flag screensaver that rarely changes.

I just have some shimmery coloful irredecent stuff that I found somewhere on the web and liked. Before that I had a brick wall, and before that raindrops.

My screen saver is that standard Windows one that has the box that keeps revolving and changing...

I forgot to mention what I have on mine. This is my first computer and when it was new (about 3 years ago) I probably tried every wallpaper and screensaver ever made. I switched almost daily....I preferred fantasy wallpapers and family photos. Now I have a boring all blue microsoft windows 98 wallpaper which I haven't changed in quite sometime. I don't use a screensaver.

On this puter at work I have a pic of my 2 beautiful daughters when they were 4 and 2....no screensaver of Mira though :(

I'm using a picture that langdon sent me as my wallpaper! It's of a cat flipping the bird... you would have to see it! :P

The screensaver is the blank screen one... I have Scooby Doo, Iron Maiden, KISS, Duke Nukem and St. Louis Rams screen savers, but most of the time I just use the blank screen!

The desktop is "GatewayBox." I hate screensavers, I will never use one.

My wallpaper is a pic of my baby, "Bella" (my Shar Pei) and her cousin "Carolina" (my parents Shar Pei)....taken at Christmas by "Aunt" goldie

and I don't use screensavers...they take up way to much space on your hard drive!!

Wouldn't be my first avatar would it? I thought she only drew two.

My desktop consists of an XP regular being a little island with palm trees in crystal clear water, and screen saver of fishes that swim back and forth.

My wallpaper is a picture of the lead singer of Crazy Town because he is very very good looking, and he has a sh*tload of tattoos which I find sexy... ;D And my screensaver is Bart Simpson skateboarding.
