Subject: Things that turn you off...
...from the opposite sex.
(I think this has been asked before, but, I guess it's worthy to be re-asked.)
1. I don't like guys who think they're all that. Trust me, looks aren't everything. It's all about personality (well, mostly).
2. Pit stains on T-shirts
:)
Subject: Re: Things that turn you off...
I don't like guys who think that they are all that either. I don't like when they act "cool" when they are really acting stupid. I don't like guys who think that all they have to do is mention the word "Money" around girls and think that we are suppose to burzerc over it. I don't like guys who buy you things and expect something in return (meaning going to bed with them). Trust me I can go on but it will take a couple of pages ;D

This is what really turned me off.
Last Saturday night, I was with this chick at her house and everything was going alright so far. We started making out and I started to take her shirt off. I get half way up and she tells me, "Just because I'm not a virgin doesn't mean I'm having sex with you." So I got up and left.
Michigan girls are so damn uptight. Give me a California chick anyday!

A girl that smokes cigarettes!
Subject: Re: Things that turn you off...
Ditto. There are too many people, first at school, and now at college, who smoke, and, though they do have a smoking shelter, it's potentially too late to save those who have inherited it from their friends... and that's fairly pisses me off.

Things I dislike about the opposite sex? Take the following two statements:
"You haven't finished that DIY job until you've tidied up and hoovered up the dust"
"I cooked that meal, you clean up and wash up"

Men who underestimate me. Stupidity. Men who have no backbone. And men who think they can buy your affection. For the physical, small hands being number one, I would have to say another major turn-off would be a man who shows up (late, mind you) wearing food stained clothing on a first date with no appologies. And the clothes were wrinkled, too!

My turn off include spoiled, domineering divas. (Not to be confused with women who just want to be independent.)
Others:
Body piercing
Butt tattoos
Women who are as gross as men.
Male corn row beards
Really long fingernails or toenails
Anyone who talks about children they don't have yet.
Sexual deviants (as opposed to men who make friendly comments about a woman's body part).
Argumentative people (whom I can't really say anything about because I am one of those.)

Hmm
Men who wear Y-fronts. Erghh I can't stand briefs they are the most horrible things. Lads, it's not cool, ok :)
Men with overly hairy chests - I hate too much hair.
Guys who go constantly flirt with other girls when they are with someone else.
I also hate guys who are too eager. I once went out wit a lad who called me every night for the month when we were going out. It drove me crazy - he was so overly eager! The only thing worse would be if he told me he loved me a month into it! That would scare me off straight away! I'm 17 and scared of commitment, and that's how I wanna be for a while :)

Egads! What a welcome back! Well, I always knew most of you guys wouldn't find me attractive, but must you be so adamant?
As for me, I'm gonna go with "Goal-Oriented Communication Patterns". I mean, if you can't have fun just being with me here and now, how much fun are you gonna be in the sack? (Hint: The "purpose" of sex isn't just orgasm... It's not a performance, and trust me, I ain't gonna applaud.)

I thought this was a thread on the things that turn you off, not just the opposite sex. My original post mentioned traits that turn me off in both sexes. It's been said already, but I couldn't resist :
Too much makeup (IMHO most women look so much better without it)
Too much perfume (it's hard to be attracted to someone when being within a 20 foot radius makes it hard to breathe ::))
And on either sex :
Unwashed hair :(
And on males :
The pants that are 18 sizes too big, and where the crotch hangs half way down below the knees
Of course that doesn't turn me off as such - it just makes me laugh uncontrollably
FB :)
Subject: Re: Things that turn you off...
Definately too much makeup on a girl. I like the natural look especially if you wake up next to a loved one without it. Beats starting a life with a girl who wore lots of makeup when you went out together and waking up on your honeymoon next to her without it.
Subject: Re: Things that turn you off...
I agree, too much makeup looks horrible.
Also -- SHORT short shorts. Now, one part of my body brain ( :-X ;D) likes it, but sometimes, it makes the person seem like a Slu t.
Tube Socks are kind of a turn-off for me (that applies to either sex).

After reading some of the posts, I've decided to add a few:
Men who feel the need to say "F*C*" after every word - or men who cuss too much in general. I interpret it as a sign of disrespect.
Men who talk about sex 24-7 like it's the most important aspect of their life. Quite honestly, most of the men out there who talk about it all the time, ususally are the ones who aren't getting "it."
I totally agree w/ Fuss about the "saggy pants" style. How hard is it to find a pair of pants that fit? It looks ridiculous.
Smoking, smoking, smoking! I'm sure most of you remember my stance on the smoking issue from the "should smoking be illegal" thread. ;)

It really doesn't take much to go from one to the other, so I'm willing to deal with both aspects of someone's personality. I think I can tolerate a lot from a girl if she has enough good qualities that outweigh the bad ones. Hey, she's willing to overlook mine (and won't try to change my ways as I will not try to change hers), so that's a plus right there. Nobody is perfect, right? To me, everyone is on a case by case basis depending on the time period of my life. I can easily come up with a list, but it soon goes out the window once I come face-to-face and fall head-over-heels for the exception. Strange things do happen.
I would be more than satisfied with an arrogant girl (or woman) who would not mind... my small, manicured, delicate hands. The hands of an amateur student chemist. The hands of an avid reader and art lover. The hands of a responsible boy. The hands of a person who will be loyal and honest and appreciative of every quality that a friend has - the good and the bad. Attitude can change with time if one chooses to do so, but I cannot change my hands; you wouldn't believe how many times I've been insulted for that one by girls who aren't arrogant. If it weren't for my arrogance, I'd actually feel bad about that.

Nothing wrong with hands. Girls dig a guy who knows what to do with his hands ;) I actually have very large hands for a person my size (I can palm a basketball pretty easily) so that helps a lot in playing the violin or the piano, if I were better at it :P It kind of confuses me why girls would go out of their way to insult your hands though. Maybe they're just b!tches 8)
Have fun womanizing, dude :D

Kind of like, how guys say girls' bad fingernails are turn-offs? Maybe it's just me (and I have TERRIBLE fingernail-related problems), but I don't notice hands too much, period, and certainly don't spend time eyeing fingernail details.
Only thing I notice sometimes is whether the hands generally are thin-long-fingered or short-stubby.

The turn off of all turn offs - Bad Hygiene. :P
Thankfully, I've never had a bad experience with that in any way, shape or form. Thank goodness! Plus, I'm very picky. :)

There are more important things "on" a person that we should probably focus on...mostly relating to personality, in my case.

Pit stains are bad! but the number one bad thing would have to be them (men) spitting huge loogies on the side walk, out the car window (when you are in the car next to them). That is gross!!!

Men (or women) that chew tobacco! :-X
Subject: Re: Things that turn you off...
Kinda related to ^.... People who spit directly into a waste basket. It happens at work now and again. If you have to get rid of a wad of chewing gum, put it in a kleenex and then throw the kleenex away. Public spitting on sidewalks ruffles my feathers, too.

Definitly bad hygiene, and men with very long beards, I can't stand it! Just watching a long bearded man eating soup, and the broth dripping down his mouth really nauseates me!

I'm wondering if the problem some women have with small hands on men has anything to do with the myth that large hads = large "equipment". ? (This has been proven to be false.)
Though a man with long fingers has something going for him. :o ;D
I'm turned of by poor hygeine. Soap is good for you.
Beards long enough to to be combed and/or braided. It was unattractive on ZZ Top, it is unattractive on you.
Facial tattoos. Yuck!!!! :-X

I think that as far as hand size goes it is more a reflection of how those girls feel about themselves. My girlfriends say they like big hands on guys because it makes them feel feminine, but certainly is not a requirement. This is stupid, I know, but that is the consensus. I don't care if a guy has small or big hands. Who cares? If a person is that wrapped up in little things and shallow ideals I doubt they will be happy with anyone.... ::)

A female analogy for it would be a guy's attraction to large breasts. Big looks nice to some people, but I wonder if it really is essential (if it's a fetish it is). End Quote
Bigger is not necessarily better (breast-wise) ;) Anything more than a handful is too much.
That was from "Weird Science" wasn't it?

To borrow a phrase: It's not the size of the hands, but how the guy uses them ;)

But, you have to admit, it is easier to "fill" a handful if the hand is smaller ;)
To borrow another phrase: You just said a mouthful!
