Subject: On Line Gambling

Has anyone out there ever gambled on-line?

I go to a site that has pop-ups for on-line gambling sites.  Let's face it, bad stuff is the prime mover of innovation, technology and the economy.  The only reason the VHS tape beat out Sony's beta tapes is because Sony wouldn't lease them out to pornographers.  In fact, if it wasn't for porn we'd still be dos-bound baboons and Steve Jobs would be the one asking us if we want fries with that.... but I digress.

There, junk mail # 57 today from bargains@casiongambling.com... them things multiply like cock roaches.

Is it safe for me to just kinda go in one of these sites and, you know, just look around a little?  I won't touch anything...

Online gambling is illegal in Australia, and all of our ISPs are supposed to block access to any gambling sites. Gambling sites are also supposed to block access from Australian servers, but I'm sure a lot wouldn't do it. It caused quite a ripple when the legislation was announced too because several Aussies had already set up gambling sites. The interesting thing is that they can run their sites from Australia, but Australians can't use them!
