Subject: American Idol -HELP!
Does anyone know who was kicked off the show tonight
(8-21). I had to work late, so I wasn't able to watch the show.

Believe it or not Tamyra Gray I'm shocked :o

WHATTTTTTTTTTT? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
You have GOT to be kidding me? SHE got kicked off before NIKKI? What is this world coming to? Granted, Nikki had her best performance last night, but, let's face it, she's not even close to being as talented as Kelly and Tamyra. I really thought Tamyra was going to win the show.

The crowd was upset, and they booed as the final verdict was read. The only thing I think that could of happened was there were only 4 left, and the lines were flooded the whole time, so not everyone could get in to vote.

Did you see last week's (or maybe the week before) show where Nikki's son brought a rose to her while she was on stage? Well, the judges were really ripping on Nikki, and then the cameras turned and showed her son crying. Nikki's performance was absolutely horrid that night, yet she somehow managed to hold on for another week. Quite honestly I think the voting public felt sorry for Nikki and voted for her. I actually felt sorry for her, and I can't stand the way she sings. Well, it's not that she sings badly, it's that she's WAY out of her league w/ Tamyra and Kelly.
Actually, with the exception of last night's performance, Nikki has been horrible every week. Every week I say she'll be the next to go, and every week she stays. Hmmm, I wonder!
I think it's going to be Kelly.

I saw that too, and nikki does not have the volcal power of the other finalists, and her song selection has been horrible. I was rooting for Ryan until she got booted. I am glad that "twerp boy" got booted last week, I didn't like him at all.

Yes, RJ wasn't my fav., but he was a helluvalot better than Nikki. When she sang "Always Something There to Remind Me" I almost fell out of my chair. She did horribly, and I was absolutely positive she would be kicked off. At best, I could see her as the lead singer of a bar-hopping cover band. She's got that "bar chick" voice. Of course, there's no accounting for talent - look at the talentless teeny-bopper singers we have to listen to on a daily basis.

I shouldn't say this, but I think Nikki's talent is her looks...

I caught my self screaming "drop the microphone and back away from the song!" She ruined that song. I like her but I agree that she is way out of her league. I think that the girls split the guy vote, and all the girls voted for Justin. That is the only way that Justin and Nikki weren't the bottom two. He just can't sing Michael Jackson. It is not right for him at all.

Yes, I totally agree w/ you, Dagwood.
I'm not quite sure why he chose PYT for his song. There are so many other MJ songs out there that he would've sang much better. For instance, Man In the Mirror would have been great. I think Justin was just trying to show America that he has a "performance" side to him, but unfortunately he failed miserably. PYT is too fast, and when you throw in some dance moves, his voice wasn't able to keep up.
As the judges say, it's all about song selection.
