Subject: Just for fun.....
My brother sent me this URL. It is an online "IQ" test. Give it a try and have fun! :) (I bet you all do better than me.... :( )

Thanks, Zella. That was fun. I got a 145, but now my brain hurts. Now I will go to work where I don't really have to think. ;) ;D
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
I did about the same as when I was tested in 3rd grade...130. :-/
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
let's just say I feel a bit smarter now I took that test!!! ;D

It doesn't work for me! What's it about?

I hate IQ tests. For this one simple reason. IQ tests with logic puzzles etc in them cannot test how intelligent someone is, their mental capacity, or their capacity of memory/retention, which is a lot of what IQ is actually about. The tests themselves merely show as an indicator of how good you are at IQ tests, and, myself, I'm pretty good. I'm not going to try this one right now, for that very reason... :-/

Well, I used to say I had the perfect Face for radio...now after taking that test....I'm as dumb as I look!
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....

Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
I got 150. In the past three weeks I've done three of these and got 147, 121 and 150. So I guess my real score is something like 139 or something. *shrugs* These tests don't prove very much, really.

I never was any good at those things. I hate tests - how can one test accurately define your overall intelligence?
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
OK, I just went through the test and randomly started putting in answers. It said my I.Q. was 113.
This is what it had to say:
"A person whose IQ score falls in the range of 111-128 is considered to be "above average intelligence".
If only that would've worked on tests in high school. :)
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
158. But some of these questions, like how many legs all those creatures have, I know the answers by heart because of different tests and things.
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
Well I got 139, but I figured out the triangular toothpicks a second after I'd already hit the send button, so I suppose that would have bumped me up a few points.
Everybody here seems to be in the same general range, so maybe it just means we all have logical minds....
Did you notice that it asks for your age at the beginning? Maybe if you are 12 and get a good score, or 70 and get a good score, they consider you more intelligent than if you get a good score age 20-40! ;D

Don't stress over it sweetie! It is just that the Aquarian mind doesn't focus well in test situations! :)

I did this on one of the college exams in 11th grade. It was the science portion, when it got to chemistry I was lost so I just colored in what ever dots I could. I got a 32 out of 37. That is the only time it worked.

Yeah, I can't believe I would do better than everyone here. Many people here are smarter than me.

I just did the exact same thing, and got the exact same score.
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
I just put in my age as 12 and answered exactly the same as my first go-round and got a 176. I also retook the test with my correct age (but much quicker than the first time I took it) and got a 148...seems like age (in addition to speed) is a factor for this one.
PS: if I were 6 my score would be 218...(you must be at least 6 years old to take the exam!) ;)
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
When they say, "You are the reason the phrase 'Dumb as a bag of rocks' exists," is it a bad thing?
They followed up with a personal inquiry wanting to know who turned my computer on for me.
Subject: Re: Just for fun.....
On the most commonly used scale for human intelligence, the one that is used on that site, age is indeed, taken into account. As for the other, less commonly used system, I have to admit not being familiar with it. As far as I can remember ??? age is more of a factor than speed is in these situations, since a 12 year old is probably slower in computer-sense than an adult.
??? Sorry, I am not entirely sure of this, although I have seen it being backed up by sources. Anyone?
