Subject: My First Memory

Written By: Libby on 08/16/02 at 09:46 p.m.

My first memory was when I was 18 months old.  I was fighting with a friend of the family (he was about the same age) over a baby bottle.  We were sitting in our high chairs.  I don't remember who won though.  :)

I remember a really itchy blanket I had in Kindergarten and one day I refused to lay down on it and the teacher made me sit in the corner and I cried and cried......I don't know why but I'll never forget that.....

My earliest memory was the hotel on 4/4/91. It was awful. I moved house to where I am now the next day.

Early memories include being consoled by Faye and Ellen to the extent that they'd promise my mother was picking me up at lunchtime like everyone elses'. That was before I'd started school 6 hours, full-time.

My parent's have a photo of me in a big upholstered chair surrounded by stuffed animals and dolls, taken when I was perhaps 18 months old. And I remember the picture being taken....

I remember getting up in my bed at the age of three and being vaguely amazed that I existed.

That is so true. Not only does it seem, at that age, a miracle in itself, but at that moment in time, you merely want to cherish it for what it is then.

My first memory is the back of an ambulance.  I was a clutzy kid (and am a clutzy adult) and fell and cracked my head open two times.  My first memory was the second time.  I wonder if the two are related events?

My first memory was the time I fell out of my crib at night and saw a shadow of someone. Also in 1968, the time we got into a real bad car accident in Maryland. My sister and I were in the ambulance carrying our parents to the VA hospital. There I saw mom being wheeled in a gurney.

I remember falling down the basement stairs at my house in Missouri.  In my hands I had a pair of ugly brown shoes from K-Mart that I begged my mom to buy for me.  The shoes fell down the stairs with me and they were all scuffed up after that.

Oh, and I remember dressing up in curtains and acting like a princess.

Oh, and I remember freezing Tang and eating it with a spoon while listening to JoAnna by Kool & the Gang.

I also remember the first time I learned how to blow a bubble.

Guess I remember a lot! :)

I can remember a lady with long blond hair leaning over my crib.I later found out this was my Mum and apparently I used to grab her hair and pull and pull so she had it all cut off .My other earliest memory is lying across a swing seat on my stomach and pushing myself to and fro with my feet.

My earliest memory was getting upset because my brother wouldn't let me watch "Skippy, The Bush Kangaroo"
I think I might have been about 3 years old.
