Subject: Scariest thing.
Just for a change of subject......
What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
Subject: Re: Scariest thing.
It didn't happen to me, persay. I was in the front room and my daughter was in her room having a fit because I had just put her to bed. Well, she figured out how to open the window and pushed on the screen. She fell out head first 5 feet to the asphalt driveway. I still have a patch of gray that won't be covered with coloring.

I watched a man walk into a turning propeller while deployed on the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt in 1988. He wasn't paying attention to where he was walking and the blades, while spinning, are nearly invisible. The prop took off most of his head. I remember being frozen with terror.

The scariest thing? I got stalked in college. My stalker used to slip blood covered notes under my door with messages like "You will always be mine, in heart and blood" (the police said it was animal blood). He also carved up my message board on my door and slipped broken glass under my door as well. One day, I skipped one of my classes to take a nap. I got to make myself some tea, and when started to open he was there and he almost got into my room. Luckily, I managed to get the door closed, but not without a nasty bump on my forehead. I was able to call the police, but then I was in some sort of shock because my blood pressure went so low they did a quick job of getting me to the hospital.
Of course, the scariest thing now is that my brother is killing himself with his drug and alcohol addictions. At the rate he's going, he won't last another two years, and he's not even 34 yet. I don't know if my family is strong enough to handle it. Heck, I don't know if I am.
Sorry, didn't mean to make it a downer.

Wow! Your stalker sounds more like something from a horror movie. I'd say that qualifies for scary! :o

It just happened last week during one of my classes when I attempted to sit on my chair and I fell on the floor. It may not sound like much, but it is even scarier now since I'm a diabetic. :-/

Dunno, Southern. But I've already covered for him at least twice tonight. Let's hope the dirty stuff is out of his system. :-[ :-/

Another scary thing that happened is my car being stolen twice. Once in Denver, under supposedly tight security. The other right here in Indy while warming up my engine. I glad I got the car back both times.

Ihave heard many stories like this. Fortunately, I have never had to expierience one.

The scariest thing for me (at least, I don't like it) is when I feel I am in danger, when I feel that something's going to happen to me when I know it shouldn't. Guess you could call it paranoia. I keep thinking that I'm going to be in a car crash or something. These envelop my dreams, and I end up scared by them so much that sometimes I'll just refuse to get off the computer to go anywhere, even if it is to meet friends. They tell me I'm ridiculous to be scared by such theoretical things, but still...

And the instance when I fell of my bike. I believe, actually, it was one year ago this week. I kept falling, and broke my arm. It scared the hell out of me, mainly because I had predicted it happening the day before, and I wasn't even planning on cycling that day. There's no other way to describe it but that.

It also qualifies as the STUPIDEST thing I've ever had happen to me...
Falling asleep at the wheel (twice) when driving my family back from Sydney to Brisbane .....
Got away with it both times as the tyres crossed the ripple strips at the side of the road and woke me back up.
The stupidest part of all was not stopping and changing drivers after the first time it happened...

Delivering morning newpapers at 4:00 am and being chased down by some guy who was tring to catch me and wanting to rape me. But thankfully he did not get me.

Good to hear you actually escaped. I know people that wouldn't've in that situation, you know. Too shocked or startled in any case.

Walking home from school through some woods on a foggy day this person in an anorak with the hood up started following me and calling out in a singsong voice'I'm going to get you'and stuff like that.Luckily for me I had lived around those woods for ten years and knew them like the back of my hand and managed to doubleback and loose the creep. It was like something out of a horror film.
