Subject: Please pray...
One of my closest friends is losing his battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. In '98 he enlisted in the Air Force, and within weeks he started suffering with blinding headaches that would sometimes last for days. After some scans, the doctors told him he had a series of tumors growing at the stem of his brain. After more thorough tests, the docs told him he didn't have more than a month to live.
That was four years ago.
Over the past four years he's had multiple tumors grow and re-grow on his brain stem - all of which have been removed. Each time he heard a bad prognosis, he refused to accept the results, and he fought with all he had. Unfortunately, the cancer is more aggressive than he is, and I found out a few days ago that he's not doing so well. His last hope was a cancer treatment that used a non-traditional method of healing. The treatment didn't work.
I think he's succumbed to his illness and now he's just waiting. I know he's suffering right now. Please remember him in your prayers - please pray for peace and comfort.

That is just horrible, Natalie! I wish your friend didn't have to suffer like that. I'll keep him in my thoughts.

It must be hard for you to watch your friend suffer in pain, Natalie. It was difficult for me to watch my mother go from a healthy, spirited woman to a person who couldn't recognize her own family. Her death was slow, but at least she was now at Peace. I hope you friend has found God so that he will be in that better place everyone talks about. I will think of both of you in my prayers. :'(

Sad news, Natalie. :(
I'll be praying for you and your friend, too. I don't know if I would have the courage that he's shown... :'(
We're here for you.

You guys are so kind - thank you so much for your kind words and prayer. I'm going to see him today. I hope I can help him in someway.
Indy Gent, yes, he has definitely found God - he found Him a long time ago. He has more faith than anyone I know. I admire him.
I'm so sorry about your mother, IG. I can't even imagine how hard that was/is for you.

You are too kind, Natalie. I believe God really put me here because someone was calling for help. Our members were just at the right place at the right time. Your prayers are good enough. And remember, I still do screw up a lot. ;)
As for my mother, my sister took it pretty hard herself. She was laying beside her mother when she passed on. She had played her old Korean music in the slim hope she would recover. :'( My mother was well-liked by everyone.
P.S.: I hope your friend continues to recover.

Indy Gent, thanks so much! :'(
Well, I went to see him today and he looks horrible. I didn't even recognize him. His face was swollen to three times the size it was, and his poor eyes were so swollen. I feel so helpless right now because I know there's nothing I can do for him. I just keep praying for God to take him. I know that sounds horrible, but he's suffering so much right now. I've never seen anyone I cared about so much hurting like this - never! I don't even know what else to say. :'( :'( :'(
