Subject: Weekend Trips
Does anyone like to just drive out on a weekday (maybe Sunday) somewhere close to your home? Not really a vacation or a short drive. But a jaunt around the state or a neighboring state. Or for you Non-CONUS people, around your town. :)

Well, when I lived in Virginia, it seemed like every weekend I was going somewhere else, DC, NY, PA, DE, NC, SC. I don't due it as much now though.

I'll go to the beach for the day; it's 2 hours away.
I do like road trips. Have taken quite a bit in the past few years...DC, Charleston SC, FL, and recently did the PCH from LA to SF.

When I do like to drive somewhere, I'd like to go someplace relaxing like Brown County State Park (in the fall/autumn of course) or Amish Acres in Nappanee (IN). I avoid Chicago, Cincinnati or other big metro areas. But I do like to pass by them once on a while. I was planning (sort of) a trip to St. Louis before my car problems.)

I'm going on a vacation myself But it will extend into the weekend. My Family and I are going on a cruise to Jenau, Alaska the week of August 23rd-30th so keep me up to date of what's happening on this crazy board.I don't know if there will be any time to check in here in an Internet Cafe cause it costs money & my Mother will be using her credit card. The only thing i can do is check my e-mail and leave.I'm coming back probably Saturday Afternoon or so.
