Subject: wish me luck
This summer i found out that i have a program on my new computer where you can record audio tracks of any length using a computer microphone so I've been recording my parodies on and off all summer on my computer. A couple of weeks ago i rerecorded some of my better songs so they sound as good as i can make them and i made them into a CD which i mailed in today to be considered for airplay on the Dr. Demento radio show.

thanks for the good luck... yes it is how weird al got his start even though he had the advantage of knowing how to play an instrument and also of living reasonably close to dr. demento. And junior since your obviously back isnt it time for some awards?

just got a short email reply... didn't make it. I guess it really was quite a longshot with singing into a computer and not having instrumental backing. Maybe next year i can write some better songs (i got better votes in general for songs i wrote this summer than songs i put on that cd) and also figure out how to make rrecordings using either midi files or an actual band.

You gotta pick yourself up from that setback. You won't always get it your own way, and it's those bad experiences that accentuate the good ones. Keep on truckin', and good luck for anything in the future.

Aww, that's too bad. Better luck next time. I'm sure some of the songs that you wrote this summer will be accepted onto the show next time. And remember, if you ever need a French horn player.... :)
