Since the old page got locked due to size....and people are still learning more and more about each other....I thought I would open book number too....so lets hear all your "most likely to" stories!!!

Hey Cricket! We had a dinner party in progress, didn't we? With a 3/3 ratio? ;D
Subject: Re: Yearbook number 2
yes we did....now...back to that....have we decided on what we are gonna eat....and how about the seating arrangements?????
Subject: Re: Yearbook number 2
Oh dear! I never think about the practical stuff. Maybe we better wait til the others are online? (Where's Lang gotten to anyway?) Now T.B. has the plastic, so I suppose we should consult him for the price range of the meals... Don't want to leave him homeless paying the bill.... ;)
Wait, weren't we at the Improv? So maybe it is only drinks and snacks...
Seating? Well, let's just let the guys each grab a seat for us and put us where they want us! Okay, boys, where are ya? ;)
And I think we established the ground rules that the left-going Zax and the right-going Zax will NOT discuss politics.... ;) :D ;D

Okay, let's start with the newbies:
Most likely to drive an import: Boyota88.
Most likely to be confused with a vegetable: Cornboy98
Most likely to be Confederate: The OlLine Rebel
Most likely to be reminded of Scooby Doo: Jinky Williams

Speaking of newbies, we seem to have misplaced Arcfire, Natski and oLd ScHoOl FaIrY! I wonder what happened to them? :'(
Subject: Re: Yearbook number 2
ok...so...now we have established that...and the Improv sounds good to me....what shall be our drink of choice? And if we are gonna be there..the conversation will have to be at a minimum..so where do we go afterwards....maybe dancing....get the guys to show us a thing or two!!!

So ! Who's for dinner ? Oh, pardon me....What's for dinner :-X
What's an Improv ? They could Improv on the name for a start, it sounds only half finished... ::)
Why does the conversation have to be at a minimum, or is that just the politics thing ?
Drinks : Sorry to be boring but they have Coke there, right ? And ice ? That'll do me. Besides that way the rest of you can get sloshed and I'll be able to drive you to the dancing...
(And you will only have to be alert enough to remind me not to drive on the 'wrong' side of the road (hee hee ;D))
And you want to be shown a 'thing' or two ? What, on the dance floor ??? Okay....... ::)
Any advance on that ?

Coke and Ice?....please...you need to add some rum to that and get busy with us....all we need is a cab..or if Tarzan is REALLY nice he will get us a limo and then you won't have to worry about driving ( on either side of the road!!)

Oh I get it. Everybody called "Not it" when discussing who was picking up the tab, right? In that case, you're all gonna have to wait until a paycheck shows up at my door.
No hot tub, but I do have a sauna and a pool table. And I live just a few doors down from a fabulous swing joint. (That's swing as in the DANCE. What were you thinking, Mr. Naughty?)
Does that aid or hinder plans so far?

Hey Langdon! Don't worry, we'll wait for you. At this stage we are just finalizing plans. Except they keep changing. First it was dinner somewhere, then a barbeque at your place, now it is the Improv and dancing with a limo and hot tub somewhere inbetween. Does the latter call for three changes of clothes? Geesh! Sauna? Pool table? Sounds good to me! Let go with that option and save T.B. some $$. Except I don't know what he is going to do with that expensive suit in the sauna... ::)

I've had this conversation off board with a couple of people, SB, but for those of you whom I haven't told :
Perhaps by your standards, what I will tell you doesn't seem that cold, but remember, Brisbane is in a sub-tropical climate with usually high humidity, so that is what I am used to (even though I despise it...)
The thermomoter in the kitchen say 9 degrees at present. That is Celius/Centigrade. Converted to your money that makes 37 degrees I think. Considering I am more accustomed to 90 degrees....
And the wind has been blowing for about two weeks. Consequently everyone now has the flu etc etc. I have had a sore throat for a few days.
It rarely gets much lower than this, it's just that this type of weather isn't due here for another 6 - 8 weeks normally, so it looks like being a LONG winter (that will be a change...).
Having said that, I'd give anything to see it snow here, that would be magical ! :DMy dada has lived here for 77 years, and he has told me in the past that he can remember it snowing in Brisbane 3 times during that period. But only a couple of flakes, and thy melted the moment they hit the ground...
Hope that answers your question, SB

But as for you and Lang, you can draw straws, or you can take up cones and joust; whatever you prefer! ;D You have a choice of the right-wing Zax or the left-wing Zax.... Either would be an excellent choice..... depending on your politics... :)

Smaller venues will usually play better music, so it's up to you guys and gals if San Diego is out of the question. Their dance clubs play better music than OC (techno/raver) and LA (Top 40 remixes) places - at least, that's how it was about a year ago. I would trust Langdon Hughes if she's checked out any good places after that.
Swing is tough. I can do the talk, but you need to know how to walk the walk to do it well and convincingly...I'd rather stick to slow contortions, dirty looks, Eurotrashy vagary, and New Romantic junk 8)

I can take the reins on this party of 8, but I won't make any promises. Tuesday night: The Improv at 8:30PM-11:00PM ($80.00) with snacks and drinks (maybe $200.00+ - depends on how many take alcohol like fish to water...), then hang out at a club on 2nd St in Long Beach (I think that's the street) (maybe spend another $200.00+...covers and more drinks for everyone!), and finish the night dazed and confused at the Los Feliz fountain at around 2:30AM. I've never rented a limo, so I don't know any estimates. The total shouldn't cost more than $800.00 :o But that's if we want to pull out the big guns. It could be far less. It's that or go straight to Club Retro in SD and stay down there for the week-end at a Ramada - or just one night at the Hyatt by the Bay 8)
