Subject: Should I start a forum for word games?
I noticed the quiz forum seemed to be alive and healthy.. or are there way too many games in the forums lately? feelings? opinions? rants?

Well, I've only seem two word games so far--the Compound Game, and mine. A whole forum for games might be a bust, and IMO, it would take people away from PPP. It is a pain to keep switching back and forth, so it is possible that people would either abondone the word game, or else not do as many post in PPP if they were watching the word game elsewhere. On the other hand, I have a slow computer, so maybe it is just me.... ::)

I would combine word games with the Quizzes board, but that might fail that thread if as many play word games as quizzes. :-/

Nah. I don't think there are enough word games that would justify the creation of another board of their own. If anything, add a "games too" clause in the quiz board. It could be a Quiz & Games board. For that to work properly, people will have to specify in the subject header whether it's a game or quiz. I don't think there's that much of a difference, personally. They're all games. That's my opinion. ;)

I agree with Zella, I'm just too lazy to switch back and forth Plus, I like this board for the variety of topics. Please please please don't start streamlining it.

I agree.. let's leave it where it is... but I would like to lay down a couple "guidelines"
1. Only one game in the forum at a time (meaning it's in the last two pages and still open). This will keep the board from getting overwhelmed by games
2. When it gets to 20 pages, post a "see the new game" message and start a new one... really big threads can look a little intimadating, and this lets people jump in a little more easily.. plus really long threads do eat up more resources for the board, so limiting them is probably a good idea
