Subject: Darn Computers!
Well, my computer is broken now, so I won't be on for several weeks.. I dont exactluy know how long it will be, but it may be 2-5, who knows.. I will still be checking in on th e library's computer, but you can hardly type on these stupid keyboards, its only open a certain number of hours, I only have limited computer time ( ::), etc. So, if anyone even NOTICES I'm gone, ;D that's where I'll be..

Well, I'll certainly notice. :'( :'( :'(
And I just hate it when the computer isn't acting right. I don't know enough about them to fix them myself either. And it's just too darn expensive to go buy a new one, like I can do with my portable CD player.
I feel for you. I've gotten so used to being online, I don't know what I would do if mine broke...

I hate to even think about it. I would be going thru serious withdrawl symptoms. :( But, on the other hand, my house would finally get cleaned! :-/

My modem broke the day before Thanksgiving and I couldn't get it fixed until the day after...I swear it seemed like a year. I had major withdrawls. I feel for you, man.

It seems to happen every summer.. last June my modem broke and we couldn't get it replaced for 1 and a half months (You think YOU suffered, dagwood?? ;)).. but it certainly is a long time. Oh well, I guess summer is a good time for a broken computer, so I'm not on the net all day.
Subject: Re: Darn Computers!
I could barely survive a week w/o the computer/internet on vacation, so I'm scared to even see if I can go even longer without the computer!
Sorry 'bout the problem with the PC.

DUDE, YOU OUGHT TO GET A DELL…
LOL… ROTFLMAO… ;D
But seriously, folks, I'm happy with the two computers that I have, an HP with an 850MHz Athlon and a four-year-old IBM Aptiva with a 233MHz AMD K6. Neither has broken down on me although I had a hard time getting the HP working the first time. And if I should happen to buy another computer, I ain't gonna let that Dell dude tell me what to buy. I'll buy what I like.

Well, Yesterday my dad and I went to Gateway Country, and decided to get a new one, instead of paying money to keep fixing it, instead. They said it should be here around Thursday, and I am prety excited, because we're finally getting rid of our 3.5 year old one ! ;D
Subject: Re: Darn Computers!
Hooray! I hope you pitched in on the cost. ;D (I actually bought both of my computers myself.) And come back as soon as you get the new one hooked up to the Net.

I don't understand why It took 1 and a half months to get another modem. The most any of my computers ever been down is a couple of hours. I never buy a waranty or the extended service plan, I feel thier a waist of money when I can fix it myself a lot faster.

Last summer, we w aited and waited for a new modem, and when they finally sent us one, it was the wrong one, so we had to wait longer.
UPS brought our computer on TUESDAY, instead of THURSDAY, which was a nice surprise. We're not getting internet until next Monday, though. My new computer is really nice, and I love Windows XP.
