And to the families of the enlisted people!! Always keeping the home fires burning.
My best friend is without her husband again right now...(for a year)..while he is flying missions in a Blackhawk helicopter. How she plays mom and dad to two small kids for months at a time is beyond me!!
So to all of the families....I salute you too!!!!!!!!!!!

I know how hard it is to have to leave home for long periods of time. I'd like to salute all the people on my last ship USS TRENTON LPD -14, and anyone else in the armed forces who is over seas right now. To the families of servicemen, I hope your reunited with your loved ones soon.

I was born into camouflage diapers, so I've had a glimpse of how difficult military life can be. Thanks to all of you who devote your lives to keeping America the land of the free, and the home of the brave.
And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA
With fond memories of times spent with members of the crew of the USS Carl Vinson CVN 70, who will always have a special place in my - heart. :-*

Thanks for that!! Not that it was just for me, but as a military wife, I appreciate the thought. :)
I'm fortunate, my husband isn't on sea duty right now. But I'll tell ya, those months and months of deployment are less than fun! Grew up with a dad in the military, and then married into the military as well--I tried all through high school to stay away from military guys, after seeing what my mom went through for over 20 years...but, alas, it didn't work. Oh well, he's only got another 6 or 7 years......... :-/
But, I also salute everybody that has anything to do with keeping our country safe and sound! ;D
