Subject: Anybody Else Notice....
The strange post by kryllith? I have talked to a few people here and we're all Very concerned......
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
Do you mean the one in the "Haiku" thread?

Yes....I'm very worried ???
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
I know, it sounded odd. Kryllith, where are you? Let us know you're alright.
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
His name is missing under the Members List. I'm really worried now...
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
Yes, what worries me the most, too, is that he is not a member anymore. That's kind of scary.
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
I sent an e-mail to him a while ago...no answer as of yet....
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
I mean, it didn't sound like he had a very pleasing day at work, but still..
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
This is really starting to freak me out. Kryllith, if you're still out there, please think of all the friends you have here and at home. Just think what you'd be doing to them if you ended your life. I hope this is only a sick joke or something that can be resolved without drastic measures. Remember, even if you reject Him, Jesus will still love you. :'(

Let's not be so negative. Kryllith overcomes his bad days at work as well as we all do. We've come this far, right?
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
Amen to that, J.C.
R&R, thank you for putting this post up.
Kryllith, I hope you are out there, logged on as a guest and reading this. We all love you and pray that you are alright. Please return.

Yeah, Hairspray, but it's the words
"Sadness riddles me
Devoid of meaning, I go.
Forever sleep, farewell."
are scary.

Those words are disturbing indeed. Couldn't it be another Haiku?
I'm figuring he's ok because he'd never before given us any indication that he was sad or depressed.

It was in the Haiku thread. It was his last post I could find and he deleted his profile. I found that very worrisome.
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
It could be. But the last stanza has one too many syllables. So for me, that would mean a genuine cry for help. :'(

We should not jump to conclusions and make these kinds of assumptions.
We cannot know the reasoning or true meaning behind that last post with absolute certainty. There's no way.
Realistically, there's nothing much we can do for Kryllith if he should have done an irreversible act, except for prayers.
It would be more appropriate to have positive things to say, just in case he's just on a temporary hiatus. He may just be ill and hospitalized and have no access to a computer.
Let's just hope for the best, for there's nothing we could do otherwise. :-/
P.S. Why do you assume he deleted his profile? ???
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
I think he deleted his profile because he's Not on the member list anymore.

Because all his posts now show up only as "guest." :(
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
That's my point. We shouldn't assume anything. But we should hope for the best possible solution in that Kryllith didn't delete his membership and it was just the result of the messageboard hacking. And of course that he is alive, well, and conscious.
P.S.: Does anyone know if Kryllith's membership was gone before or after he posted the haiku?

I don't know ??? I was in school all day ???
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
During the hacking of the board, a few profiles were corrupted and/or gone. His was most likely one of the affected.
Hypothetical -
If I were to do something irreversible, I wouldn't have the presense of mind to go through the trouble of logging into the net and deleting a profile from a public messageboard which contains no strings to my identity.

I'm sure that's true. However, if one were simply very depressed and wanted to test the waters to see how much they were missed and/or appreciated, it would be a very logical thing to do.
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
I just want to say that I, along with a very good friend, are continuing to try and figure this all out. I do apologize for alarming everyone but, then again those words in the poem are rather alarming all on thier own.

I disagree with that, J.C. Even a depressed person would realize the undue stress he would be placing on his friends, and knowing that coming back and saying "ha ha fooled ya!" would lose a few of those friends for him. ;)
I'm sure if Kryllith wants or needs our help, he knows we'd all be here for him and therefore open up to someone. :) If he doesn't want our help, then there's nothing any of us can do.
I have to agree with Hairspray that we should give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he just accidentally erased his profile, or got a computer virus....I'm sure we'll find out soon. :)

However, something very similar happened last year on another online forum that I frequent, except that a message was received purporting to report their death (and, I think, of the spouse - a car crash, or something). The forum put up a memorial message and mourned - until this person re-appeared.
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
I have reason to believe Kryllith's post was the result of a somewhat personal matter. I will talk to him.
Sorry to everyone who is concerned. I'm sure Kryllith will be happy to see how many friends he has here who truly care.
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
I thought Kryllith's post in the Haiku thread sounded odd also. I saw him logged in as a guest, which prompted my "hard drive" haiku. I am concerned for him.
I just checked the haiku thread again this morning. Kryllith's posts prior to the haiku in question talked about lunch & his day at work. On those posts his E-mail is listed as kryllith@hotmail.com, which is what I've always known his e-mail to be. The poem in question has his E-mail as kryllith@inthe80s.com. I don't know if that means anything. In any case, I pray that Kryllith is okay.

Thanks for the explanation, BA. But it was Zella's post you were referring to. Was there another post you had an issue with? ???

Thank you so much M.W. It is good to know that someone is in touch with him, and I assume from your post that he is okay. I didn't mean to be an alarmist, but I felt that the odd post ought to be addressed. I was just getting ready to log off (as I had an appointment) when I discovered it, and I asked R&RF to please post a query. So I'm afraid the fuss was all my fault. :( Please tell Kryllith that we all miss him, and are glad that he is alright.
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
I don't know. I thought the haiku was good, but reading the reaction and responses from the rest of the board, I don't think it's so good now...

Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
His last haiku was very cryptic...
I just wish somebody would tell me what the heck happened...
I am concerned for everybody right about now...
I hope Kryllith is OK....
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
A post like the one Kryllith made IS cause for concern. I'm not saying anyone should overreact, but please don't ever just ignore something that may be a cry for help. You were all correct to express your concern like this. This board has a fabulous support net of people who truly care about each other, and none of us should ever be afraid to talk about something that's bothering us.
Anyone who has managed to get to know Kryllith well would realize that he would have the presence of mind about him, in any situation, to log on, send PMs, write such a poem, and delete his account (if that is indeed what happened to it).
But the fact is, until Kryllith chooses to come back and read our posts, and see just how concerned everyone here is about him, there is very little we can do for him.
Hang in there, guys. And be good to each other, like always.

Oh!! lol DUH!!! No, I meant Zella's statement, J.C. I must have been reading yours, too, and got confused. Sorry about that!! What I meant by that was, I don't think Kryllith would post something like that just to see what reaction he would get. ;)
Subject: Re: Anybody Else Notice....
Ok, first off, my haiku sucked (specifically, I refer to the extra syllable in the last line). Sadly, as a guest, I've no way of editting my posts, so the bad poetry had to stand (actually, this is just an assumption since I didn't try to modify the post to fix the last line... but I figure I'm pretty much on the mark in regards to my inability to edit it).
Secondly, as Hairspray suggested, I've been unable to access a computer the past couple of days because I was placed in protective care for threatening to commit suicide. Before anybody reacts to this, let me simply say that I am doing quite well, and, as a result, have been discharged early as a result. The depth of the reasons behind my threat is not something I really want to go into, especially since I was required to divulge them numerous times over the past couple of days. Simply know that I feel much better after I had a chance to release my pent emotions about various internal and external strifes which had riddled me with stress and occasional feelings of depression.
I'm sorry to have been a source for recent concern, but I'm thankful that I'm lucky enough to have people that care about me. It is a great comfort.

So I offer up a bit of my callused and sarcastic anonymity as a sacrifice and if you want to compare notes, then let me know. We can swap medication side-effect stories! We can compare scars! It'll be a grand ol' time!

Kryllith, buddy, I was worried for you too. I'm glad you are feeling better, and are starting to get the help and support you need.
I know you don't care to explain in detail, as you've done it over and over and over. I just went through something similar with my daughter. But if you do feel like talking, we are here.
I'm glad your recovery is coming along quickly, too. It must have helped quite a bit to be told you can go home sooner than expected.
You'll be in my prayers for a speedy recovery. :-* :-*
