Subject: Does anyone watch Trading Spaces?
I absolutely love the show, but I can't stand the messageboards for TLC. The people on the boards are SO rude! So, perhaps I can chat w/ some people on here who like the show (people who won't bite your head off for everything). I hope, I hope, I hope someone on this board loves the show as much as I do! :-/

I like it. I've never been to the TLC mesage board.
I like Frank because he actually listens to the neighbors and is cooperative when they say that they absolutely, positively know the homeowners won't like something. Not like the others who really get their noses out of joint - like Doug, he's such a whiner.
I like Laurie's and Vern's designs a lot. I'd feel more comfortable with them than say, Hilda or Genaveive. I wouldn't want to come home to a moss wall!

I watch it from time to time. Frank and Vern are the best designers IMO. Doug pretty much does nothing to help, although his movie theater idea was decent. And Hilde's designs are so out there sometimes...

I don't watch it, but I did go look at the messageboards for it. You weren't kidding when you said they were rude! Man, you barely say something wrong or disagree with them and they jump all over you! ::) I didn't post anything though, I was just looking at the messages.

I checked it out too. Kind of makes me think that the posts are by the dissed designers.

I watch it whenever I catch it on. It's usually way late at night....
I have seen some of the coolest stuff on there! makes me wish I had the $1000 to do a room with. LOL Is Hilde the one with dark blonde hair, a little past her shoulders?
Whichever one that is, she has HIDEOUS ideas! LOL Even when people tell her they KNOW their friends won't like the idea, they specifically asked for no orange or no Oriental, she uses exactly what they hate. LOL What a twit. ;)

We always used to pick on the idea, just from seeing commercials. "Yeah, I'm gonna let a neighbor change MY room around!"
All it took was one episode. We watch it every chance we get.

Yes, Frank is a doll. I don't necessarily care for many of his designs (the Fiesta Mexicana Kitchen made me sick), but he's so kind to the Homeowners).
Ya know what? I think Doug is SO sexy. It took me a while, but one day I was sitting there watching the show, and I was like, "Wow, Doug is hot!" It was an amazing epiphany. Now I can't take my eyes off of him when he's on. Try to think of him in a sexy way, and maybe you'll see what I mean. ;)
Vern and Laurie are my favs., too. Laurie is a sweetheart, and Vern always does SUCH beautiful makeovers. Didja know Laurie is PG? :o
The moss wall made me want to vomit. I would absolutely die! What was Gen thinking?
Hilda (even though it sounds like Hildi, it's spelled Hilda for some odd reason) needs to find another day job. Her designs are absolutely atrocious. How can she even call herself a designer? Eww!
Ok, there's my 2 cents. :D

Yes, those people scare me! They're the rudest people I've ever encountered on a message board.

CS, that's very possible. Some of the remarks made about the designers are downright cruel. I would be extremely upset if I was a designer and I decided to check out the message board - especially if I was Doug or Hilda.

Yes, I totally agree. Hilda is a horrible designer with no respect for people's ideas or input. Her hair isn't blonde, though, it's dark brown. Genevieve's hair is dirty blonde - she's kinda "out there" too. :o

Yep, the first time I saw it I was hooked, too! It's addictive. ::)

I was just watching a new episode about 30 minutes ago - Laurie's noticably pregnant.
Dog was the other designer - sorry -don't see the sexy thing. I guess I can't get past his temper tantrums.

love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!! and i even like all of the designers...even though some of them are spacier than others. well, i should say i like most of the designs they create. i don't like how some don't help and others don't listen to the suggestions of the participants. my absolute favorites are vern and laurie. oh, and ty (the carpenter) is HOT!!!
