Subject: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
OK, guys, just thought I would ask...I've always been curious:
Do blondes have more fun?
Are brunettes sexier?
Are redheads the spiciest?
What is your personal preference? Most guys say they don't have a preference, but, if you had to choose, which would you prefer?
I've always wondered . . .
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
I like blonde hair (with blue eyes). I don't know, I try to rationalize/excuse this sort of taste by bringing up the diversity in the gene pool this would bring. This also means that it must be NATURAL blonde hair. Anything altered goes at the end of the line...

You're trying to get me into trouble now, aren't you :D I have no particular preference as , in my life I have met many beautiful women with all different hair colors. (Now is that a cop-out or what ::)!)
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
No preference here either. I do wonder though that if there are stereotypes for blondes, brunettes, and redheads, then why isn't there one for people with black hair? (or maybe it is and I just don't know it). For that matter, does dyeing your hair blonde make you automatically have more fun? Does dyeing it red make you spicier (frankly, I think rubbing cumin into your skin would work better)...? Course, given the current trends, maybe we should think of stereotypes for people with blue, green, pink, purple... (course some people would just say "freak" or "punk"...)

I like men with dark hair.
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
I like this red head in my school but that is only because he takes care of his hair.
I have a serious thing for Latino guys(dark hair)
Never been really into the blonde guys except for a few of them (1 or 2 or 3...)
I have no serious preference
(My pet peeve is hair, nails,{basically how he handles himself. })

My hair was always black but I got tired of all the gray that was coming in so I used to dye it to it's natural color, but now I went Blonde....I seem to remember that my I.Q. dropped about 50 points right after I apllied it.....Just Kidding, everybody ;)....don't send me mean letters in the mail!
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
Well, this post was primarily for the male species, but, heck, since some girls have left their two cents, I'll leave mine, too: ;) ;)
I prefer guys w/ dark features as well, not necessarily latino men, but guys w/ dark skin, hair and eyes (I like to call them brownies). However, I've only dated one guy like that. Most of the people I've dated tend to be fair, light brown hair and light eyes. As long as the guy is a winner, I don't care too much about hair/eye color. They MUST have nice teeth, though. I'm a "teeth grrl."
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
well, i like i nice bald guy myself. totally bald or mostly bald (like patrick stewart). i don't know why, but i just find totally appealing. the guy who plays in 'the mummy'....ooh...shivers. don't get me wrong, i like guys who have hair, too. brown or reddish brown is nice. freckles are nice, too. i have to agree with natmc78 (can i just call you nat?)...good teeth are a must...i mean, if you're not taking care of your teeth, what else are you not taking care of? that's how i look at it, anyway.
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
Panda, sure you can call me Nat. Yes, bald guys do have some sort of charisma about them. I like for them to be completely bald (shaved heads). Vin Diesel (sp) from The Fast & the Furious is a PRIME example of a bald hottie.
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
I have to admit, I'm extremely attracted to blondes. I guess it's cuz of the whole blonde-intelligence-thing, it matches me best ;D. J/K. I do find myself attracted to blondes most, though. I like redheads next, and then brunettes.

Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
I like guys with dark hair and light colored eyes...usually blue, but green is good too.
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
I color my hair red. I seem to get more compliments on the color when I do. :) Not sure if I am spicer but I can add a little zip! ;D LOL
Now I have a terrible weakness for blondes!! :o I lose all senses when a blonde haired man walks into a room! :P YUMMY!!
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
I prefer dark haired guys---but it really comes down to what he is like inside. But initial attraction would be for the dark haired hunks.
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
any color is ok with me as long as it is washed, neat and clean...not long hair that has not seen water in a week or two!! And balding or bald is fine too....as long as they don't polish their heads like a cue ball!!! ;) :D

Hmmm. Are the stereotypes true? Or do we make them come true?
Submitted for your approval: (insert Twilight Zone theme here ;) )
I was born a brunette. In my later teens, I experimented with dying my hair. (Mom said as long as it was a color found in nature, she had no problems with me coloring my hair. So I did. ) Once I even tried all the colors at the same time, in stripes. Like most teens, I was trying to "find myself". I couldn't settle on a color I liked, so I gave up and went back to my natural brunette.
Along about the time I decided to end my marriage to an abusive drug addict, I colored my hair red. I started to stand up for myself more. I let my bad temper be seen in public. I have been known to let my naughty side show occasionally. (not often, not yet).
For debate: Did the change in hair color cause me to change my life? Or did I change my life first, and subconciously change to the hair color most associated with that change?
You be the judge! ;D
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
...As far as what I like to see on a guy, red or blond will get my attention, but only if the style works on him, and it's clean and neat.
Recently, I've also found myself paying attention to guys with a few speckles of gray, or salt-and-pepper hair.
I'll still look at guys with "freaky" colored hair, but nowadays it's usually more of a "holy cow, why would he want to look like that" look. ;D

Wait. Aren't you in psychology? You were pulling my leg, weren't you? (Hey, give me a break, I'm currently blond.)
For me, at least:
Red - the most dramatic and extreme, also the most approachable
Blond - borrrring but happy, people think I'm young
Dark Brown - least fun but most intimidating

I am naturally a very dark brown, but when I was married to my ex he wanted my hair a dark red aburn...so that I was, until we divorced then I went platinum blonde....just to piss him off...after I got over my anger fit....I went back to my dark brown...with all my grays in it...flowing proudly!!!! As to my taste in men's hair colour I don't have a particular colour that attracts me more than another.
the debate on hair colour and personality is interesting.I think alot of it is subconscious and therefore we act how we feel a person of that hair colour behaves, also it's to do with self confidence too.If you feel great with your hair a certain colour you act that way.Maybe also how people perceive us helps too. From my own experience I actually gave up reviewing bands for a local paper because I got so sick of being treated as if I was dumb and just there to screw the band!( Yes you guessed I'm blonde!)One bloke actually started by saying to me 'your boyfriend must have a big record collection for you to know so much about music'and it just got worse from there he was lucky to escape with his life!

Well it all varies on the individual of course. My assessment of coincidential events was solely about Kat's occurence. I know lots of people who change their hair to express certain attitudes, just like they wear certain colours of clothes.

it's more probable that you decided to change your life, then change your hair. as you said, it was probably a subconscious thing, but it's my opinion that the color was not so much associated with the change as it was associated with how you wanted to feel about yourself. the way i see it, based on the info you've provided, it looks like you decided to turn a page in your life and the coloring of your hair was symbolic of that turn. red is the color of confidence, boldness, pride, courage...all these things that help us along with decisions like this. i submit to you that the color you chose was more to make you feel confident with yourself and your decision than anything else. or i could be way off, i'm not saying that my opinion is the absolute truth in your case. just a theory. let me know if i've overstepped any bounds.

Boy is this ingrained from birth, or what? Why is it always assumed that blondes have more fun? That brunettes are more serious and/or intelligent? Redheads have the hottest tempers?
It's like this: If you're the right man, and you find the right woman, all the right buttons will be pushed. She'll be the most fun you ever had, in or out of bed. She will be the smartest person you ever met, and her opinion will matter more than any other. She will fire your temper to heights not yet seen, and know all the ways to cool it back down. And it won't matter if she's bald, as long as she's YOURS.
And it will be the same when a woman finds the man who helps her become the person she always wanted to be.
And this is why, when someone is looking for their 'type', a 'friend' slowly becomes the 'type' they never knew they were looking for. :)
At least, that's how I see it. :)

I was talking about this subject with family and friends the last few days. My mom reminded me that when she asked my why I went redhead after the marriage broke up the only answer I would give her was that "it would P*** him off, that's why".
My girlfriend helped me remember the painful details, which I seemed to have blocked out. My ex began his emotional abuse by putting down and badmouthing his own mother, who was a redhead. The next sentence would always be "and you look exactly like her." There's more, and it got worse before it got better, but the day I dyed my hair, all I could remember was that he once told me he would leave me if I ever dyed my hair red.
Well, now it's over, and he has no contact with us, so there's no real need for me to keep my hair red, I just like the way it looks on me, and I'm used to it now.
Mom also said that I was born a redhead, and it got darker as I got older. Trying to capture the innocence of childhood, too?
Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
First I'd like to apologize to all the redheads I have offended on my last post.
Kat: Your ex sounds like a moronic jerk. If he said anything to any of the redheads at our office, he wouldn't be able to stand anymore. What if his new girlfriend said that he complains too much like her daddy? He needs to walk a mile in your shoes for a few days.

And now even thought alot of it is going gray, my now hubby is just as happy with it as the day he married me!! I am 3 years older than him so he say he likes people to see he got an "older" woman!! my taste in hair color changes daily. maybe it's because i've died my hair many colors of the rainbow (now i'm in my natural state: reddish-blonde with green eyes). i usually prefer men with dark hair (all of the blonde experiences went sour...purely coincidence, i'm sure). currently i have my eye on a redhead (deep red, not orangey with brown eyes and GREAT teeth).

Subject: Re: Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads?
For the longest time I was madly in love with a guy who had a shaved head...does that count? He was a complete bad boy, I think thats what the attraction was because I usually go for guys with dark hair, preferably curly with peircing, crystal blue eyes. Nothing makes me turn my head faster than that. I think thats why I'm so into Adam Ant now.
I also love blond guys with either blue or green eyes.
I'm not really into latino guys anymore since I dated one for awhile and I guess I could say I got the whole latin passion thing out of my system.
One more, I also tend to take a big interest when I see a guy with blue or green or any other color hair, especially if its styled in some way that says he took a lot of hours and a lot of glue to get it to stand up like that. Some people think they look ridiculous, when guys do that, I just want to date them!!!!
