Man commits suicide after learning Harry Potter spoiler
The Jewish World Review

A rabid Harry Potter fan took his life yesterday after inadvertently learning a plot spoiler from the soon-to-be-released J.K. Rowling opus, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."
Jude Ralston, 32, of Hudson, Ohio left a suicide note indicating that since overhearing the plot spoiler at a shopping mall earlier in the day, "I no longer have a reason to live."

Looks like someone missed that this was satire ;D ;D ;D
No I didn't. This is Andy Borowitz, the same person who wrote "Tom Cruise bids farewell to Earth." I'm not stupid.

At least I HOPE that was satire.

I felt a tinge of relief when I scrolled to the bottom of the article and discovered that! ;)
This reminds me of a site I discovered several years back, it was a takeoff of the "Paul is Dead" myth from the Beatles. What happened here was a thing like that in Tom Petty's case - a joke page set up by a fan who picked out supposed "clues" in lyrics and album covers, etc, which alluded to the REAL Tom being in a coma for some years, and a double being found to do shows and interviews.
I started to believe it...for about 10 seconds before I realized it was too ridiculous.
Glad that was the case here. Seriously, it would be tragic AND stupid to kill yourself over something like that. I saw BTTF 3 before the others, and I'm still here today! ;D

So,why would he commit suicide after finding out a spoiler?
That's not a reason to kill yourself. ::)

Dude, I said get a life, not take your life!
:P
This case sounds like an urban myth, like the one about the boy who committed suicide when "Star Trek" was canceled.
