A Chinese couple raised a few eyebrows when they attempted to stage their own version of the royal wedding.
Groom Wang Lu and his bride Yi Lin wanted their wedding to be just like the forthcoming nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
But they didn't quite get everything right. They couldn't find a Union Jack so used a French tricolour in its place.
And, unsurprisingly, they were unable to put their hands on any Guardsmen's bearskin hats and had to come up with their own versions instead.
But they still reckoned their wedding, in Jiangning, Jiangsu province, eastern China, was just like Prince William's and Kate Middleton's.
"We studied the preparations quite closely so we have the uniforms, the open carriage, and even the ladies in waiting," explained proud Wang, 32, who blew £5,000 on costumes, carriages and extras alone.
"We will be watching the real thing on the internet but I think ours was every bit as classy."
