Subject: Girl nearly killed in SUV accident hit by another SUV

First, Shannon Broome, 15, of Jacksonville survived a wreck in an SUV that killed four students. She was thrown 20 feet from the car and was seriously injured.

Then, this week, an SUV plowed through her bedroom, where she was sleeping, reports news4jax.com.
She's now at Shands with non-life-threatening but serious injuries. She fractured her pelvis and her ribs, according to the girl's family's attorney.
The driver who plowed through Broome's bedroom ran off the road, overcorrected and ran straight into her room. Police said the driver of the SUV admitted he was distracted by his cell phone while he was driving.
Shannon has nine lives. We hope the driver has lost that cell phone.
