The search for the children ranging in age from a few months to 3 years began Tuesday near the mouth of Mobile Bay after prosecutors said the father, Lam Luong, confessed.

Police charged a man Saturday with killing his wife and their four children, who were pulled from their burning home the night before.

Michel Veillette, 34, was charged with four counts of aggravated murder, one count of murder and one count of aggravated arson in the Friday night fire, Officer Troy Nelson
Veillette also had been stabbed and remained in stable but serious condition Saturday at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Nelson said. He wouldn't speculate on how Veillette was injured.

Nadya Ferrari-Veillette, 33, was killed along with her children, Marguerite, 8, Vincent, 4, and 3-year-old twins Jacob and Mia, Nelson said.

This is not new or unusual.

there's some lady in washington who strangled and stabbed her four daughters because she thought they were "possessed" (another example of the good works of religion?) and lived with their bodies in the apartment she was squatting in for months. the cops who came to evict her are now in counseling cuz what they saw was so messed up, and the people in the jail where the woman's being kept are staying away from her because they say she "smells like death." it's quite a disturbing story.

I saw on a news brief...NY news probably because I watch NY stations more than LA... about a woman who put her son in an oven.
