Subject: The new crass capitalism/commercialism of the 80s continued into the 90s.

The new crass capitalism/commercialism that horrified/annoyed certain highbrow types in the 80s continued into the 90s. However, what made it a little more palatable was stuff like the independent film boom, grunge/alternate rock boom and a democrat being president for much of the decade.
Just a little analysis looking back.

The crass capitalism and commercialism of the '80s continues today, the neoliberal era really codified during the '90s though.
