Written By: Todd Pettingzoo on 03/02/21 at 7:48 pm
-Mass incarceration
-NAFTA
-Very conservative welfare reform
-DOMA
-Repeal of Glass-Steagall
But to be fair, he did raise taxes on the rich/corporations, fought the republicans on cuts to Medicare and signed off on a couple of major gun control laws.

The crime law of 1994 was MASSIVELY supported by Black leaders of 1994 (I suppose they were Nazis as well).
The welfare reform bill he signed in August 1996 was not nearly as conservative as what Newt Gingrich and his people wanted*
Clinton vetoed two previous welfare reform bills that Congress introduced in 1995 and 1996 (it's convenient to forget history when trying to paint someone as 1990S HITLER FAM) because they were too conservative.
DOMA was a better solution than a Federal level marriage ban, which could've been done by the Republican majority Congress. Would that have been preferable to you? It was a compromise.
Glass-Steagall is overrated.
*Welfare reform was something Clinton ran on in 1992. It was popular across the board with Americans, who wanted to see welfare reformed in some way by poll in the early 1990s. It was actually considered a better idea to focus on welfare reform even among his staff early in his Presidency than healthcare reform. Welfare reform was considered politically safer. Instead, Clinton focused on healthcare reform in 1993 and 1994, which cost him most of his political capital, and almost made him a one term President.
