Subject: Perfect Strangers Vs. Ren and Stimpy
Written By: oldmusicfan on 03/26/20 at 9:45 pm
It’s the dance of joy versus “the happy, happy, joy, joy song”. Were Ren and Stimpy carbon copies of Larry and Balki? Is that how you saw it despite the news that Ren and Stimpy was thought up in the 1970s? Did you lose interest in Perfect Strangers once Cousin Larry and Balki got girlfriends? Did you catch The Ren and Stimpy Show when it was on MTV in the mid to late 90s? Discuss all things Perfect Strangers and The Ren and Stimpy Show here.

I didn’t have cable so I only heard of ten and stimpy. But I loved perfect strangers. Preferably the earlier ones but I still liked when they got girlfriends. Like when they were snowed in at the ski lodge. Also like how Some people say many partners kinda resemble each other, well I thought Jennifer more resembled balki and Mary Ann more resembled Larry. I noticed that as a kid. I also liked the show intro more in the beginning when it was longer. Also my next door neighbor from my last house reminded me a lot of Larry. That’s all I could think of every time I looked at him.

The early ones were the best because everyone like Harriet Winslow was there. Do you feel Perfect Strangers got to be too silly near the end of its run? Did you see the baby episode?
