...and his record of saves achieved in the American League would eventually be overtaken by other pitchers in the decades that followed. In fact, Quisenberry (who ultimately passed away in 1998) had the most saves in Kansas City Royals team history until Jeff Montgomery overtook him in the 1990s (specifically, in '96).

Both the Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins had opportunities to score runs during regulation, but neither team could do so. So the game remained scoreless until the 10th inning, when the Twins won it on a walkoff hit. Jack Morris, who pitched all 10 innings of that game for Minnesota, was named MVP of the series. The shaking lasted for two to three minutes. Although this earthquake was much more powerful than a certain earthquake that would ravage the L.A. area less than two years later, the damage and loss of life were minimized by its location in the sparsely-populated Mojave Desert.

Nearly three hours later, at just after 8 a.m. local time, the same part of California was shaken by another powerful earthquake. This one, dubbed the 1992 Big Bear earthquake, had a moment magnitude of 6.5 and a maximum perceived intensity of VIII (Severe) on the Mercalli intensity scale. The earthquake occurred at a relatively shallow depth of 5 kilometers (3.1 mi).

The lyrics were put up for sale again in March 2006 by Bonhams in New York. Sealed bids were opened on 7 March 2006 and offers started at about $2 million. The lyric sheet was auctioned again by Sotheby's in June 2010 when it was purchased by an anonymous American buyer who paid $1,200,000 (£810,000).

Wednesday October 21st 1992, the Toronto Blue Jays won Game Four of the World Series, 2-1, over the Atlanta Braves, to go up 3 games to 1. This game only took 2 hours and 21 minutes to play.

The Braves started pitcher John Schmoltz, who pitched well and got ample run support to earn the victory. (Also on that Braves team was infielder Terry Pendleton, who seven years earlier was a member of a St. Louis Cardinals team that squandered a 3-games-to-1 lead in the 1985 World Series.)
