What were a few “very mid 90s” moments that happened in the mid 90s?

Here’s my list:

- The photo of Tupac (during his Thug Life days) and Kurt Cobain.

- James Avery guest stars in “Family Matters”. Uncle Phil met Carl Winslow. Yes, that actually happened.

- Shaq was the genie in “Kazaam”. Get it? Shaq was playing for the Orlando Magic team and “Disney’s Aladdin” was still a big deal to us in ‘94 during the time this was filmed.

Lest We Never Forget: The Mid 90s - Where The Early 90s Went To Die

This Cookie Crisp as has it all: Modern 90s muscle pants, XYers, one early Yer, overalls with the right strap down (it’s supposed to be left strap), stripes, tie dye shirt, ripped jeans, leggings, Ralston cereal, and a Fleer X-Men trading card mention.

The Kids Choice oatmeal ad was far more mid 90s than the first one I mentioned in this post. The Kids Choice oatmeal page consists of 90s bell bottoms, backwards cap in dull orange and purple colors, a heavy vertical striped shirt, the surfer striped shirt that both Zack Morris and DJ Tanner’s boyfriend wore, ugly floral leggings, and obnoxious font and excessive XYer colors (lots of neon and black).

What specifically stands out as mid 90s in “Toy Story”?

Although Penguin is missing, this Happy Meal toy set from 1993, in hindsight, was a very mid 90s set:

The two villains and sidekick from “Batman Forever” is present. The showstopper from the first modern Batman flick is a part of the set and the most memorable character from “Batman Returns” is a figurine. As an added bonus, we got Batgirl and Poison Ivy who were in “Batman and Robin”. I’m surprised we didn’t see Scarecrow, Man Bat, or Clayface over Poison Ivy, Batgirl, and Two Face. These Happy Meal toys are perfect for any 80s and 90s Batflick fan.

Who saw these Jim Henson Dinosaurs toys coming to McDonalds in the same year:

The two “The Simpsons” promotions at Burger King were first and I prefer them over these McDonald’s “Dinosaurs” toys, to be frank with you. Obviously, “Dinosaurs” was a hit show from 1992 into 1993 and the Dakin Barney the Dinosaur dolls were everything to Millennials around this time. Everyone wanted Baby Sinclair from this set, but McDonald’s gave you the whole family. Of course, McDonalds could have sold Happy Meal toys similar to what they did for the “Minions” movie with Baby Sinclair—instead they went in a different direction with these.
