Do you remember New Age Music being a thing in the 90s? Enigma, Enya and the Pure Mood CD's. Saddness, Return to Innocence, Silence must be heard.ect

I remember Enigma and their hits "Saddness (Part 1)" (which had all that gregorian chant backed by a techno-beat) and "Return To Innocence" (which incorporated Taiwanese chants). Great tunes.

Also Enya was popular around then. "Caribbean Blue" readily comes to mind. It was a minor hit for her in the U.S., but it actually fared well on the Alternative Songs chart (referred to as Modern Rock at the time). (She also had a hit with "Orinoco Flow/Sail Away" in the late 80's and "Only Time" in the early 2000s.)

Enya's Sail Away was kind of a big punchline in the mid/late 90s. I remember Yanni being a thing.

Totally love Enya, right from the time of her first solo hit, back in 1988, and have every album of her's, also proud of her being nominated Best Original Song, Academy Award for Best Original Song for May It Be" from Peter Jackson's 2001 film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

Enya's Sail Away was kind of a big punchline in the mid/late 90s.
The correct title of her song is "Orinoco Flow", also released as "Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)".

Yes...and that particular song was a hit in late 1988/early 1989.
